Evening all, the purpose of this post is to vent / hear other owner's views. Currently have a 12 reg Audi A6 2.0 TDI 177bhp. The car has just turned 40,000 miles and has a full Audi history. At 18 months old / 17k the car had a clutch and flywheel fitted at an eye watering cost thankfully...

So just to bring an end to this thread. The other one I ordered on ebay did not fit either, so a call to Malcolm at Aberdeen Audi saw me with the correct fitting centre cap within 24 hours. Third time lucky as they say. All's well that ends well!

The face of it is too big, whereas clip is seemingly too small. I've just measured them. The one I bought on eBay appears to be 68mm. The ones actually on the car are closer to 60mm approx so just ordered a 60mm cap on eBay. Will update in a few days when it arrives. Failing that - anyone wanna...

Just an update I mentioned it to the the service dept today, it was declined as a warrenty fix as they deemed it damage rather than faulty. Obviously it is damaged but I don't think it should have broken so soon into ownership experience. Any thoughts? Let sleeping dogs lie?

Just to add to this thread my 9000 mile 1.6 tdi Manual's DIS can read over 65mpg over a 50 mile point to point countryside journey if driving very economically. Managed approx 650 from a tank when doing mainly long journeys (100 or 150 mile round trip journeys) Very impressed with the economy...

It hasn't ripped the carpet no, it's as if the narrow small plastic part that goes below the carpet that has the 'male' carpet holder has snapped, NHN. I was shocked at this damage already to be honest, waiting on a call back from the dealer. You're spot on Graham, I'll lose no sleep over it...

Yeah it's metallic white. The photos are very poor, bad light to show off the colour. The salesman reckons its closer to Suzuka grey rather than Ibis but that remains to be seen. Good luck in the search anyway, Suzuka is stunning.

No mines isn't for sale unfortunately. Nice colour when clean, also it has only been available since Q4 2011 so there mightn't be many about.
