    "Baby on Board" sign question

If your wife is looking for a peace of mind or confidence then another way to potentially achieve that is to do some advanced driving IAM or ROSPA which is more about defensive driving. Just a thought.

    "Baby on Board" sign question

Let’s face it they type of person that will be following too close is the type of person that doesn’t care and would ignore it anyway. All those signs do is create a blind spot behind the car, increasing the odds of you having an accident be it reversing into something/someone or not seeing...

    Full size spare wheel mod

Don’t forget to fit a symmetrical tread pattern tyre else you’ll have a 50% chance of having to get it reversed in the rim before you can use it if you go for an asymmetric pattern.

    my noggy

You know when a joke’s gone bad when you have to explain it :sorry: Given that: Moggy is a name some people use for a cat. People who have a cold can often miss-pronounce an ‘M’ as an ‘N’:blownose: So the title of my noggy could have been re-read as my moggy…..or my...

    New a3 1.6tdi

The jury is still out on the mpg at the moment, its improved by about 5-6 mpg but I’m expecting that to increase once I calm down playing with the extra power, the recent weather isn’t helping with the roof down and air-con on most of the time which isn’t something I normally do.

    R8 RVC module pinout

Since the RVC module has a 54 pin connector and only about a dozen are used I wondered if it might have been true. Oh well, worth a try. Thanks for the info.

    R8 RVC module pinout

Should have said, this is not for the camera feed, that is indeed composite and working fine. I'm trying to hook up some other kit. What I'd read is that the TV module connects to the RVC when fitted with the implication being that the implication being that it can take an RGB feed.

    R8 RVC module pinout

I’ve read that the R8 RVC module (420 910 441) can accept an RGB video feed and pass that to the RNS-E when not in reverse, can anybody confirm this? Also could somebody please point in the direction of schematics/pinout of the module so I can test the theory?

    New a3 1.6tdi

No idea on the flash count, it may well increment but so what if it does? It’s my car, I paid for it I deliberately waited until the warrantee expired before playing. In my opinion if you touch the engine/UCU whilst in warrantee and something happens then you have to assume that unless...

    New a3 1.6tdi

Yes, I waited until the warrantee expired then did it to save any issues. Until recently Superchips only did the ECU remap for the 1.6, but they’ve now got some “adapter” that gets fitted to the ECU then you can use the Blue Fin, the main difference being that with the Blue Fin you...

    New a3 1.6tdi

Your ECU will need a little adjustment before the Bluefin will work on the 1.6 TDI. But it’s worth it.

    A3 convertible window problem

The driver’s door controller won’t help you as there are four ‘door’ controllers in an A3 cab, the rear ones are only coded to control the windows. If you know somebody with a vagcom I’d get the car scanned for fault codes. Never had the need to open up the rear panelling so...

    High Mileage Club

That’s pretty much the same here, once I’d made the decision to keep it as opposed to replacing it I upgraded parts when I thought they might be tiring, hence the suspension etc. I bought the Golf when I was doing high mileage for work with the aim of replacing it after 3 years...

    High Mileage Club

My last car was a 1.9TDI MKIII Golf I bought new in 1995. It had 463k miles on it when I finally gave it up for my current car, I was planning on keeping it going until about 500k but the scrappage scheme was too good an opportunity to miss. It had a head and turbo rebuild at 250k and I...

My DIY guide for Retro fitting Puddle Lights

Cable length was pretty much spot on considering I was guestimating with all the trim in place at the time. With the cable following existing cable runs, so as to use existing mounting clips etc, also leaving a little slack to pull the fittings forward to change bulb I'd say it was fine at...

My DIY guide for Retro fitting Puddle Lights

If you've got a cabriolet you'll know that the single light on the one side isn't really enough. The boot opening isn't particularly large then add in the fact that your own shadow blocks most outside light from reaching the boot means a lot of rummaging around in the dark :ermm: After fitting...
