I have a soundbar set up in my sitting room that alone is an impressive piece of kit, but as many mention does miss the bass for listening to music and some films.
Also have a play5 in the bedroom....which in my mind is too big, that alone fills my 2 bed house with music! To re-cap - expensive...
I have the sonos soundbar....masivly impressive (even without the sub) and as mention to way you expand your system is awesome....albeit a little expensive.
Saving up just now to get the Sonos sub and 2 no play 1's for the rear speakers.
Are you always getting a code come up on Vag-com for cyl1? getting the flashing eml light?
only reason im asking i had "similar" issues but i was getting misfiring under load but no codes or eml lights were registering on vag-com or the car.
Nice to see another 8L up in aberdeen, On to my second S3, first being a facelift imola with matching interior and a few cars later im back into a Noggy S3. Seeing pictures of Imola S3's make me really miss mine!
...Also probably worth noting, there was a fair amount of oil drops that came out of the hoses I removed going into the charge pipe (turbo side) I removed them for ease of getting the coil packs out....also oil was noted on the diverter valve...both ends.
Quick update for you guys!
replaced all the coil packs today, cleared the codes and they stayed off, so that issue was sorted....or so I thought!
let it get up to temp, no misfiring on idle....Took it out for a test drive and on full load it is still "misfiring" hesitant on acceleration...
thanks for all the replies....that was my thought aswell, but was thrown when I was getting the occasionally smokey startup.
Will be replacing all the coil packs in the next couple days so will report back.
with regards to the DV....I do have an open cone filter, but thinking it wont hurt to...

Over the last couple of days my 8L s3 has been getting more and more poorly.
Ran code reader on it last night and came up with 3 codes,

16688
16686
They relate to "random misfire", " Cly 2 & 4 Misfire"
So from that im going to and investigate failing coilpacks.

Bascily....the locking wheel nut provided for my car (private sale) doesnt fit, the style of the key is correct (multi splined type jobbie) but its too big!
So basicly....what are my options, slim chance that this the locking wheel nut that was supplied by Audi back in 2003 so going to Audi...
i have made a couple posts about this, you are going to need a loom to fit onto the Bose harness, which also has a switched live to power the Bose amp on and off.
Have a look through posts i have made....might shed some light on what you might need. Believe it or not, i found that halfords can...
Shed any light on what loom i would need to buy? getting conflicting info between here and local audio company.
Was yours a double din? Again....what fascia?

Are you running a double din aftermarket unit? Your S3 full bose?
if so.....can you link me the fascia you used plus the cross over for the BOSE?
