Had the same issue, but went after cable No.2 and has never given me a problem since. The first cable so a cheap one off ebay as I was trying to find something shorter than a standard Apple cable. Now I just use an Apple cable neatly coiled up.

May I ask where you are getting your figures from as they are better than what I was offered today? Ideally I wanted to put a deposit of £5000 and monthly figures of £450 max, but £7000 with £450 was best they could offer. I should state that this was on a ready available car worth £52,000.
