So ECU get's sent to Audi then Bosch, you really think Bosch cannot read there own ECU's?

I said that Bosch WOULD read the ECU and see that the car was remapped , but I didn't think it would get that far.
Hi guys
I don't think that dealers have the ability to detect the chip electronically. They might "detect" the chip by driving the car but they will not be able to prove it.
Audi is not allowed to open the ECU cos it is under a Bosch warranty. So the only way that they can prove the car is...
Hi guys
I drive a 2002 S3 and my gearbox was also very notchy from new. I took the car to the dealer the middle of 2002 and they replaced the gearbox oil with fully synthetic oil.
The oil was covered under warranty and yes there was a bulletin from Audi to the dealer about this (last year...

Why do you want the stock chip back ?
[/ QUOTE ]
I want the stock chip back cos if I get bored with the
performance chip then I can send my stock chip to REVO and still drive my car with whatever chip I choose in the meantime.

Joe, seems like things are hard in the world of tuning in SA, I suggest you take a holiday to the UK with your ECU underarm and get it done...............

I was thinking about that

it says that they provide a dyno-tune for each car when the upgrade is...

No I don't think they do. All they need, IIRC, is your engine code and ECU code i.e. part number. You'll probably have to take the ECU out to get this. I think the ECU code is the main one they need. That ensures they get you the right "base" ECU. They will "chip" the car. Then when...
What would you guys do if you lived in a country were your only local chipping options were Chiplogic or Superchips :
1. Chiplogic chip ( a local company that uses a modified
MTH chip from Germany)
2. Superchips chip (the local agents for Superchips)
3. Remove the ECU and send it to REVO...

I used to use a colour matching polish on my A3 to hide the chips.Worked quite well and it also has some sort of dye agent.
Luckily I don't have any chips on my S3 yet
Hi Drill
They weight 1.33kg each.
Got the info from a friend that works for VWSA.
He also told me the RHD and LHD mirrors have different part numbers , so I hope they fit.

One last thing , here in SA the cars are Right hand drive(the steering wheel is on the right hand side of the car) and I think the cars in Germany are Left hand drive.
Does that make any difference or should the same mirrors
fit both LHD and RHD cars.
