    Sparadic Boost problem!

If you get an intermittent 'flat' acceleration issue try turning off car and back on. This usually clears the issue fort me. I had the car VAG.com'd today (after a few annoying months of this issue) but I did get error code 17705 - Pressure drop between turbo and throttle valve (check DV)...

Door / lights - Microswitch or Module?

Ok, so back to the old door switch / interior light issue. Read a few threads which all point to the Microswitch being at fault and a good dose of WD40 should sort it. So, I did that based on the fact that the dash was displaying the door open symbol when in fact it was shut and the interior...

    Blue Flame Exhaust

BlueFlame are famous in the bike world, plus they're OEM for the like of TVR, etc. I had one on my R32, excellent piece of kit but took a bit of twiddling to get the pipes positioned right. Overall excellent value for money but I'd say Miltek probably got better Quality Control going on...

    Where is this sensor ?

Hazzarding a guess, but lengthwise sounds like another name for longitudinal.... kinda like when they covert those Chinese instruction manuals into English and it doesn't quite translate correctly. But then I don't know if the longitudinal sensor is an acceletaion sensor like the Laterla one...

    Where is this sensor ?

Sounds like a VAG.com exercise - if its not can you direct me to soemwhere that describes the procedure as I search Ross-Tech and only found instructions relating to VAG.com Thanks :)

    Where is this sensor ?

Seeing as how the thread has been resurected already.... Can you someone confirm, for a 2001 Face Lift 1.8TQ, how many sensors and where they are I think, from reading the above there are 3 sensors; 2 in the Combi under the S/T and 1 behind Glove box. Glove Box = Longitudinal Combi = Yaw...

Rear washer leaking, front near side...

Many thanks to all of you! Glad its popped off in the engine, bay. in the POlo there a connector 1/2 way up the channel behind the passenger seat..... the clue that its popped off was a soggy floor behind the seat!!!!! :)

Rear washer leaking, front near side...

Ok, so when I fire up the rear washer its coming out thick-n-fast on the near side front of the car, kinda under air box. Seeing as bottle is on drivers side I'm assuming that the pipe must traverse the car some how/where and there is a join or something at that point. Before I clamber round...

    Air Con Smell

Change the pollen filter as well. Did mine and smell much reduced. Now for some anti-bac spray to complete the job. :)

    Exhaust ?

What the cost split between suppy and fitting? Maybe you can find a local garage that can fit cheaper but by the sounds of it £600 is far out. Miltek ain't cheap, approx £400 - £450 for the cat-back resonated system, and a couple hrs labour for fitting! :)

    Audi TT Comp fitment

I'm running ET32 as per pic above, you can see the 3mm difference doesn't matter! :)

    Audi TT Comp fitment

I run 6 spoke 17" TT alloys (not comps) on my A3 TQS. 3mm isn't an issue on the ET. :)

Black Diamond Grooved disc brakes or OEM?

Pads are what you need to improve braking, disk size helps but pads should be the 1st port of call. Bruv ran BD on his MK2 GTi for years and they worked very well, but he also ran Pagid Pads, braided hoses and DOT5.1 fluid....... damd good set-up. Depending on the age of the car the brake...

Will Renault alloys fit the S3?

Meg Sport? If so they're 5x108, so no won't fit and S3 :)

    Photoshop request

Ok, not the bronze/black versions you posted but Original RS4 alloys (take from a pic of an RS4 cab)..... a very quick chop onto you car. Nothing mroe than select (3px feather) copy-n-paste and then rezise a bit. Obviously you can take more time to get the sizing, angles, etc right but this is...

    Photoshop request

Always best to find a car pic (of decent resolution) with the wheels you like, and also have your car pic at the same ang;e. Then its quite easy to PS the wheels from one car to another. Stock wheel images like the one above don't look real when PS'd onto a real car pic. :)

    A3 wishbone v S3 wishbones

I looked at VW spares and it seems like they're the same, but I looked on ECP and eBay and they seem to state A3 (not Quattro) and the Q models listed differently. VGAcat states same part no for FWD and Quattro for the front wishbones, S3 is different (I registered!) Ta!

    How d'ya do this?

Ok, so I can't make out exactly whats been dne but if its the black surround inside the actual light you can buy them like this. Saves the hassle of seperating the casing, painting it and then sticking it back together... sound very Blue Peter-ish to me. :)

    A3 wishbone v S3 wishbones

Are you buying soon. I'm about to replace both my front w/bs and looking for a good place to buy other than VW/Audi, at a reasonable price. The issue I have is that some place, ie ECR, list about 10 different A3 TQS wishbones, and others seem to only differentiate between A3 and S3, but given...

    New Photoshop Wheel Request Please

Darken a wee bit. Not going to do black as they're too small (image wise) to work with to make a decent selection of the spokes. :)
