I have recently noticed a smell of exhaust fumes under the bonnet of my 1998 A4 1.8 T Sport. It smells strongest on the opposite side of the engine from the exhaust manifold, which made me rule out a leak from the exhaust system itself. Any ideas, recirculation pipe leaking or something?

Does anyone have any experience of these, as they seem really well priced, around £300 fitted for a full stainless system. I'm after something very subtle for my A4 1.8 T Sport (1998)

Does anyone know if there is a modified chip available for a 1998 A4 1.8 T Sport tiptronic 'box this side of the pond? I know of the GIAC 'tip chip' in the US but I think that it's for later models. Any help/thoughts appreciated, cheers.
