I don't think it's got anything to do with being a confident driver or unsure of how your car handles. Audi have it for a reason. I personally don't notice a great deal of difference with it on or off, apart from the light on the dash annoys me. Could be the roads, could be my driving style...
I've had this same problem for a while now, increasing in volume for a while. Now it irritates me everytime the engine is on and never EVER goes away. Someone guessed at a cracked exhaust manifold. They said that this could cause an excess of exhaust fumes to be stored in the carbon filter...
I have headache tablets, my sunglasses case, a pair of gloves and a pen! :) No paper though... :lmfao:
My phone lives in the small cubby hole underneath the glove compartment where I stick it on charge so I'm not tempted to use it on journeys. I have a multi cigarette socket adapter which...
I just leave the ESP on. I'm don't hammer my car so it doesn't make any difference really. Only time it goes off is in the snow.
My sunglasses live in the small cubby hole next to the handbrake. :D
I keep my wallet in it when I hop in the car. It keeps it hidden out the way too providing you don't have a FAT wallet. :) I always take my wallet out of the car when I leave so no ideas people! :weight_lift2:
I agree Minty. Racing... on a public road. Stupid really. Go to a track for that.
I never bother racing anyway, although on the motorway I will on occasion keep up with something but when they start getting daft or above 100 I back off completely. Not risking my neck, others necks, and my...
That's customisable. Check your manual for details! :ermm: There are two speed alerts. I have one set for 100mph... overtaking you understand... :whistle2: ...and the other I rarely use, although sometimes I set it for temporary roadworks if they're long enough. Although I hate it when they...
I know I'm going to get told off so I'm going to smack myself before hand. :keule:
I'm selling the S3 if anyone's interested. I'm looking at an A4 Avant preferably diesel as I'm needing a bigger car, plus the amount of mileage I'm doing is costing me a fortune and I'm paying 112.9p per litre...
Don't bother waving in Aberdeen. They ignore you. Even when you happen to stumble across someone with exactly the same colour as your S3, you get a look like you have a d*ck growing out of your forehead...
I'm entitled to say that as I'm Scottish myself! :D
Well that link is slightly wrong. Your URL is ok but it's code has come out wrong.
Looks dodgey anyway as you can't see the number plate, the picture of the interior is blurry and he's listed it as a 1199 cc car.
Plus, £6,000 for a 50k car... no way. Not unless it's been damaged badly or...
Thanks Alistair, I'll have to try and remember that! :) Oh well, still looks like a hefty purchase. Will need to save my pennies! I'd do it myself but I'm a bit worried about screwing it up.
I won't mind the lack of speed camera alerts. I have a road angel too that I use on occasion, but I...
Hazzydayz. :) Thanks for reminding me. I have a new S3 stalk on the way so I'll have to give him a call to get him to fit it. I'm just going to get all the old stuff ripped out and replaced with the new stuff. Get it done right by an expert.
I'm also thinking of getting the RNS-E...
I was going to get APS to do some work to my car but like you said, the problem is their waiting list and I can only manage Saturdays too. Quite fancy putting a Forge 007 DV on the S3. I have to do the exhaust, manifold, and rear bushes now so going to have a hefty bill soon. :( I don't have...
Hey mate,
Sounds good! Who did you take the car to? I have a problem with the car pulling left too much, and it's driving me nuts! £50+ VAT isn't bad! I had the track rod ends etc replaced under warranty not long ago so I should be ok with all that excess! :D
Cheers,
Nick.
