I have just checked one of the files which does work and the bit rate is 220 kbps. Now even more confused !

I have just checked the properties of one of the files that wont play and it states the bit rate being 320 kbps ? is this what you mean ?

Thanks for the reply. Card is formatted to FAT32. The files play on cd-r in the 6 disc changer. Files are being copied from windows 7. Only thing I am unsure is if they are over 320 mbps ? How would I find out ? I take it this is a requirement for them to play ?

Thanks for your help guys. I am struggling to get my head round this ! I have never known a clutch to slip intermittently. if it is worn it should get progressively worse not come and go. I am thinking about leaving it for a while to see if it develops. I will let you know how I get on.
