I recently installed a Concert III into my 2002 C5 to get mp3 and I expected not everything would function properly (although the sound quality is excellent, radio reception better and Aux-in is a real bonus)....
My DIS is now a bit loopy, even if I swap back for the original Symphony II...

...retraced steps and (think) one of the cluster connectors wasn't pushed fully home, feel a bit stupid, but got there...
guess that's enough to throw the ecu/immo off...

I can get an A3 Concert II+ for â¬50 with code. Plus the modding costs - negligible. I lose radio (rubbish where I live anyway) and gain MP3/Aux/IDTag
Or, I can pay â¬600 for an A6 RNS-E, which would look nice and shiny admittedly.
I'd rather put that sort of money towards my replacement...
Hi, got a mad plan to put an A3 Concert II+ into an A6 (C5) - before I rush out and buy one, want to know what size the fascia is (am figuring on modding it with fibreglass to fit). anyone have an idea of the overall dimensions? And is the colour like the A4/6 Soul black or more of a grey...

Since last week, my '96 European A6 fires up every time, then stops after a few seconds. No warning lights - immo light goes out as normal.
VCDS shows up 01128 (Immobilizer coil - intermittent) and 01176 (key signal too low)...
I've read plenty a post to know that configuration of com ports is a major barrier to getting KKL cables working - I've used the drivers supplied, downloaded ones, even ones Vista finds on the net and then checked the manual configuration to ensure the com port is 1-4.
