Hi Beanykate, Yes - I've not removed the black panel I've just pulled the black horizontal lever at the top of the boot compartment from right to left... this folds the black plastic panel backwards and lifts the inside roof of the boot upward into the space where the roof folds into when down...
OK - took all the trim out of the tailgate this evening and everything seemed fine so detached the latch itself. I found that the mechanism inside was a bit stiff, so sprayed some WD40 and loosened it all up and it seemed to work fine :) So cleaned it up and sprayed some oil inside - Put it all...
My wife opened the boot on her Allroad as normal this morning and went to shut it and it wouldn't shut. The hook thingy thats on a spring is out to accept the closing bar but it doesn't catch/lock closed. I tried WD40 on it!!!
Also, when you pull the lever to open it you can hear the electric...
Yup! I tried it earlier and I only need to hold the drivers side AUTO button for about 2 seconds and both temps read the same. Also - as you all say - pressing the passenger side + or _ reverts it back.
So... How do I do this on my 52 plate Allroad as it only has the one AUTO button in the...
It possibly might be - but I'm not everyone has ready their manual from beginning to end. Although I did when I bought the car and it obviously didn't stick in my mind!
Whist playing with my climate controls. I found that you can control BOTH temperature settings at once by either of the + and - buttons. I'm sorry if this is basic knowledge for everyone but having the car for over two years I've not come across this in my manual, or elsewhere, before - and...
Hi - Not sure if this helps but when the eng management light flashes - it means that its misfiring. So probably due for a new coil pack replacement. Not sure about the esp or abs tho.
Hi Jim. Glad you managed to get the door open in the end without any hassle :) Sorry - can't help you with the footwell trim, but shouldn't be too difficult. Probably a good idea to grease it up once all back together?
I got to be honest - I really like the whole colour combo. I do like the red roof, the fact that you have the red leather to match is all good for me :)
I looked at one with red a red roof, red bodywork and red leather and that was a bit too much red!
Hi. In the past the esp light on the dash has come on when it should do - when I pull away at roundabouts too fast etc. But the other day I noticed a lot of wheel spin and thought thats odd.
So I tried to wheel spin off or break suddenly and couldn't get the ESP light on the dash to come on...
I had a very similar problem with the engine management light coming on - although it drove fine. The garage said it was a running lean fuel mixture problem along with a misfire on tickover. Short story - he changed the Lambda sensor, cleaned and swapped the plugs and injection leads, replaced...
The high price include having the timing belt changed. Audi charge £325 for this. But this was changed to remedy the fault which was not necessary, although may have been due!
So I'm thinking to pay the equivalent cost of the timing belt change or for all the parts only that he has had to pay...
As an update - the solution may have been found by Audi.
A couple of weeks ago my garage had another go and changed the MAF for a new one. Seemed to be fine and after he tested it a couple of days presumed mended. Got the bill for all the work carried out and agreed to pay 3 lumps of £250 over...
what remote roof do you have? Is it factory fitted as its a 1.8T and I didn't think there was that option. I have th SmartTop and when activated the windows do stay down unless I press the remote an addional time and then they will go back up.
I collected the car today and he said it still has the same faults. He thought it was sorted as after trying swapping around the fuel injectors it was working fine - but then the fault reappeared when driven in the afternoon.
So he suspects now that it may be a dodgy electrical connection.
He...
