i dont think they are rusted solid yet. but i live close to the sea which is rusting everything else.
the car is 2001 and done 210k miles, so wanted to freshen up all the suspension and bushes.
sorry to bring up an old post, but lots of good info in here. I'm replacing my arms soon, are people refitting newer rose joints or going for the solid rubber ones?
are these the correct ones -...
Ok thanks all. Ye they are genuine sold by forge themselves. And yes was a manufacturing mistake that they missed out on the lining. So they are selling them off cheap to get rid.

i was thinking what about the intercooler hoses, there probably not fluoro lined. And any of the after market breathers.
not sure if it worth a punt, can buy 3 of them for the price of one fluoro lined.
ye its genuine forge sold by them however the manufacturer didn't add the fluoro lining. so everything else is the same as the "normal" forge one but for a significant saving.
wondering if its worth buy a second hand genuine one for £25-£30 or get the forge one without the lining delivered for...
ye sorry didnt make this bit clear. the current billet adapter is not genuine, it only has a very small area where the TIP can slid onto and i think this is why it keeps popping off. The genuine billet adapter has over twice the purchase area for the TIP and i'm hoping this will stop the hose...
I can get hold of a forge turbo to hard pipe hose for a decent discount but it doesnt have the fluoro lining. Is it worth getting or does it require the fluoro lining?
its the 3" tip with the billet adapter
ye it feels that way....
ye i think i probably could get that in there... its worth a shot. otherwise i might try a dremel or small angle grinder in there
so long story short, i had a cheapo 2nd hand 3" tip and billet adapter fitted to the car. wanted to remove it and fit my b5 tip. while trying to remove the little grub screw in the billet adapter, the hex bit snapped inside the screw and now i cant remove it.
the grub screw is at the 3 o'clock...
if its a non genuine TIP then the billet adapter is much smaller and harder to get a good purchase on. I bought what i thought was a badger TIP but once i compared to the real deal its completely different, badger one is easier to fit, has much better purchase on the billet end and it higher...
i will be using compressed air at 1 psi. if i cant get my compresser to go that low then i will use one of those 12v pumps used to inflate the blow up beds. i will remove the air filter and put a latex glove over it. that way if the pressure is too much the glove will blow off the end before any...
so i put it all together last night. just waiting for the silicone to dry.
All in so far its cost me around £5.
Paint tin, adapters for the air hose and normal hose and some washers to make a better seal. also used some high temp silicone - same stuff used on the sump.
close up of the...
mmmm, this is a strange one. it seems that its getting worse. every now and then i floor it and the turbo spools up and makes alot air noise but i dont seem to really be going anywhere. then other times its fine. peaks at 23 psi but holds at around 14-15psi.
map is crap, maybe i need to fix...
Check the power steering cooling pipes which run at the front of the car underneath, prone to splitting and leaking. That was the cause of my issues.

When I saw the first pic without them on the car I wasn't sure. Now I see them on the car I think think they suit it very well. I like them.

Can also vouch for Bali, went their 7 years ago. without a doubt the best country i have ever been to. The country as a whole is amazing, and the scuba diving is some of the best in the world. enjoy your time out there.
haha, ye it's never been right. i bought it with the map on it. think it was done by jabba some 10 years ago. ye standard ko4, i put a refurb'd unit on it around 2 years ago and did the 3" DP and Cat at the same time.
it runs alot better on vpower but unfortunately there's no stations around...
