    TVS gearbox 2+ driveability map

I had the TVS gearbox map loaded on my 2016 RSQ3 around a month ago. While I think overall its a nice improvement, I sometimes find it a little too aggressive at low speed/rpm. Almost like a learner driver with poor clutch control. I know the gear changes are sharpened up so just wondered if...

Off to view another possible B7 this week, uttermadness.

I see B7 RS4's quite regularly and its always an event for me.....just a beautiful package....in any colour! You'll drop on the right RS4 when you least expect it Rob. The B7 is a true classic and I'd have one at the drop of a hat if I didn't need an SUV. It took me almost 3 years of looking...

    Leeds Independent Specialists

Moorfield German motors (up by the airport). I've not used them personally as I have a dealer service plan but they did install the remap and I got to have a good chat with them while there.

VCDS Cable not compatible with my newly purchased 2018 C8 Avant

The old cables fetch decent money, maybe enough to be able to buy a second hand newer one and upgrade from 3 to 10 vins? That's what I did, the newer cable is far quicker too as a bonus

RS3 pfl trying to find wavey discs ...SHW Performance - heard of them ?

Yes Ben, if you look at the disc and the rows of 4 holes, only 3 go right through, the other is to show the wear on the disc

RS3 pfl trying to find wavey discs ...SHW Performance - heard of them ?

I can only imagine how tuff its been John ....my thoughts are with you! Helen struggles on and her treatment seems to be helping so fingers crossed The RSQ3 is great, sometimes I miss the SQ5 but overall I have no regrets I also have the APR and TVS maps now.....the car is a right laugh lol...

RS3 pfl trying to find wavey discs ...SHW Performance - heard of them ?

I'm not sure you can skim the discs on the RS John as the wear limit is only 1mm, what does the wear hole indicate? I've done 10k miles on redstuff pads and new discs with not even the hint of disc wear. Kinetix do wavy discs. I've not tried them but do have the kinetix rears which are fine.

    EPL - Particularly the Bottom

I feel for you, I'm a die hard Leeds fan and I feel we will be joining you shortly. This season (and the last) has been a slog and not an enjoyable experience at all. Our owner said at the start of the season "it would be impossible for us to go down" and now we're second bottom with 3 to go...

    Ecotune ecu and tcu maps?

Nice figures! No doubt they are. I just wanted to know if the recently released reflex system for the EA888.3 platform was being developed for the 5 pot variants and also how their tcu tune compared to the much respected tvs. Dan at clptuning was great sorting the tvs tune out for me, all I...

    Ecotune ecu and tcu maps?

I've had the tvs 2+ tcu tune installed, not by ecotune, but by clp tuning using the remote flash. I've not had chance to fully evaluate it yet but first impressions are great. I also had the APR stage 1 ecu tune done recently too. The car felt strong before but omg its bonkers now lol I've...

    Ecotune ecu and tcu maps?

I ordered the TVS tcu 2+ update today along with the flash tool. The personal flasher is not a cheap tool tbh, but it's easier than getting into the nearest dealer and afaik you can reflash the oem software if needed

    Ecotune ecu and tcu maps?

I've heard back about the flash tool and I can get it if needed, although it would be cheaper to take the day off work lol Apart from loading the tcu file onto the car, is it any use afterwards? I was hoping to be able to use it for an ecu tune as well but that's apparently not available.

    Ecotune ecu and tcu maps?

Mmmm that sounds interesting. I have been looking into them as they are well respected but I was struggling to get to a dealer without taking time off work. Do they advertise this?

    Ecotune ecu and tcu maps?

Anybody have any experience of their maps? I'm currently investigating various options for the RSQ3 and a local vag garage offers APR and Ecotune. For the ecu tune I'm probably going Revo to use the sps switch. But for the tcu the options are more limited as Revo and APR don't do one for the...

    RSQ3 8U tuning options

I think I'm leaning towards Revo or APR but I'm also thinking I might just go the whole hog and get the tcu tune at the same time and have done with it! AFAIK Revo don't do a tcu tune but APR do or there's the tvs 2+. Would it be better getting both with APR (if they do both for the RSQ3) as...

    RSQ3 8U tuning options

Yes I think as a generic map, Revo is a good safe option and I like the idea of the sps switch. The figures don't seem as high as APR but peak figures aren't everything. Is a custom map like unicorns worth it, I know every car is different but I'm not chasing figures and Revo feels safer being...

    RSQ3 8U tuning options

I know they'll not be many owners on here with direct experience of tuning these but a general opinion would be great I've owned my 2016 RSQ3 for 2 1/2 years now. I'm not in any rush to sell it and so I'm looking to add a little more performance. I'll not be going any further than a stage 1...
