I use OBD11, much better than any cable competitor. (p.s it supports bmw too) You must have a really old cable. Hex-can is not supported by many VAG cars (upto 2014*?). VCDS Hex-v2 does support, but its like 900 euros compared to 100 euro OBD11.

Thought to write a final result on this topic. Seems that software update has fixed the issue and made the engine run much better. Runs much better on idle as well.

There is no ECU update for throttle lag on dsg, there were supposedly some updates for 50&55 tdis which use 8 gear tiptronic gearbox. In any case, remap is only way. Some information I received about it is that Audi wanted to try out if this would give clutches longer lifetime, guess we will see :)

DSG is really sluggish overall for c8's (a6 and a7). I figure it is something to do with that. I have to admit I dont have sluggish feeling on maneuvering, but instead overall throttle lag compared to earlier c7 when pushing pedal. Try Manual mode and then manouver, maybe its more responsive?

Also 40tdi (2.0) - I have an oil change every 15k. I have not needed to top up between oil changes. At 76k km now. That being said, give it a few oil changes first. I've heard some people have to top up in early km of the car :)

My 2019y a6 c8 supports wireless carplay, android is cable only. I just enabled it with obd11. If it gives anything, I got MMI Plus with Large 10,1 inch screen

Oddly enough tfsi variants dont have this issue that are also on 12v system, so far I havent heard a version of non 40tdi having issue like this.

Local audi dealer was able to replicate the issue or well, it randomly happened and to my luck they recorded it on their premises. There were again no errors specifically for this, just Signal errors. They did not want to give any assumptions yet, apart from few which I wont share as it's not...

Sadly battery is not the issue for me and seems to be more mysterious :( Hopefully I will find the resolution or just have to live with second-clicking the button to start a brand new car successfully.

I was told by big local (Non official audi dealer) vag group repair shop to leave it cranking for longer time. There should be safety that kicks in and stops the engine crank, this may save error codes into system. I have been really worried about doing this earlier, I might as well just let...
