this light came on in my s3 a couple of weeks ago & all that was wrong was a choked air filter. i dont know how it managed to get so choked between services, Audi obviously didnt check it properly.
i think i'll leave it to the experts. booked it into Audi tomorrow. they quoted me £70 to bleed the brake system including the master cylinder.
hopefully that will be it sorted cos i'm missing my car & want to try out these new discs & pads
i have the exact same problem at the moment. fitted new black diamond discs & pads but after bleeding system pedal goes straight to the floor when the engine is started.
spoke to a mechanic & he said it will possibly need a new master cylinder if ive got air into it.
is that the case? OR is...
i got genuine audi roof bars for the a3 & fitted them last night. they are easy to fit & dont & shouldnt mark the paintwork as long as the rubber pads and the areas of the car where they are fitted are cleaned properly prior to fitting.
i have some pictures i took on my fone that i can try and...
good car the 1.8T sport. i had a kingfisher blue T reg one of those a couple years ago and i kinda regreted selling it but i always wanted to try a peugeot 406 coupe v3 but now i'm back to audi and bought my S3 :icon_thumright:
yeah i have the same problem. the guy i bought my car from told me it happens but i gave someone a shot of my car and i was too slow telling them not to lift it up :(
would also greatly appreciate any assistance on how to fix this problem.
anyone had their s3 roaded in scotland?
i am in NE Scotland halfway between Aberdeen & Inverness & am looking to get my s3 roaded to find out how much power she has cos my boss reckons its not standard but the 2 previous owners say they havent modified it.
cheers
i think that was the s3 i was gonna buy but was too late, the guy had already said he'd keep it for someone who had booked their flight up from London. :( well done if it is that one. nice car!
thanks a lot guys. a big help.
i just have fears of rear mounted racks because i damaged a bumper using one of them, possible not the best designed one i had but still dont fancy risking another one.
so trying to pick out the most important bits:
1. the fork fitment ones are not good (ive heard they can dammage your forks anyway)
2. the german make the "Atera Giro" frame holding one which is supposed to be better?
is this the basic outcome of it?
cheers
