Anyone did diy flange replace or fix? got 1.4 tfsi 8p that leaks coolant like sticky white oil kind. The coolant in reservoir didn't drop faster but a little. I manage to put putty silver metal to cure it but it still leaks.
Hood lifter gave up on my a3 sportback after about 10 years. How often your lasted and did anyone used aftermarket one or original.
Mine was open but not closed fully that might be the cause in the cold weather.
The question is this happens only on cold start when car stand overnight. Engine oil not reaching on that part in question. Once the oil pump start pumping the noise disappears.
Keep looking into it good luck
Yes a good mechanic would. Audi dealer should also if you leave the car overnight. The oil pump are all mechanical meaning only can pump the oil when engine starts.
Unfortunately changing the oil to no use also.
Cold engine nock noise metal to metal is when top engine /lifters not getting enough lubricant. Switch off the engine after starting in cold start state and restart again and you will notice most of the knocking disappear.
depending how often you using the car. If I dont drive very frequently the battery gets quickly discharge. Let the car idle for about an hour if not been use daily.
Found valve broken in the hose connecting air filter box to engine in my audi a3 1.4tfsi. So I just took the broken valve out and direct attached the hose.
Is there any harm if just directly attach the hose pipe without valve as mentioned in the pic?
Also where is the pcv valve in this...
Running fine but seems is running rich fuel air mixture. Spark plugs has hard black carbon build up. Thought might be cause by less air intake. But some water condensation from exhaust means mixture is fine.
Car was idle and I just took the air filter. Wanted to see how much air sucking by the engine. Also new air filter has been replace year ago looks brand new.
Anyone know what can be the cause? A3 1.4tfsi 8p
