Hi I have a 1.6 na A3, regular service and maintenance. I do long motorway journeys and on hot days like today engine oil temps stay between 100-105 even up to 110, intake temps stay at 90. Do I have a problem or is it simply the hot weather and will this do damage?

My concern is canbus has cut power when the LED was in there and has not tried to light up the new bulb. I thought maybe clearing the error code would make canbus read the resistance again and light up the bulb since its now supposedly the right resistance.

I understand but i expected the error to be redundant as an OEM bulb is now in place

seems like this could be the issue as there is 0 visible corrosion, I will look at the replacement part, cant believe I will be almost £100 in for reg lights :/

Thank you but if theres a way to sort this with coding id rather do that than spend another £40+ on more lights, with being plug and play would they work first time or would the error need to be cleared?

It was a pain TBH, some of the screws were completely rusted as i doubt they had been moved since 2009 :/ got there in the end though.

Had the bumper off this weekend and installed the honeycomb grill, also replaced the rear badges with gloss black ones. Happy with the results :)

Yeah spraying them would be my only option if I cant i find the right size, I believe the paint would be similar price to badges anyway :) thanks

Hi guys looking to get some gloss black front and rear rings for my A3 but can't seem to find any in the size I need. I have a 2009 facelift s line and measured the badges to be 273 x 93 and 176 x 62 but even accounting for measuring errors this isn't close to any I can find on eBay etc...
