Yeah if I remember correctly you have to manually switch the lights on to get it to work during the daytime. No idea why my first A3 never did this (2020) but the second one did (2021) so I can only imagine it's some change in the way theyve programmed the lights.
Thanks bud, they should work when unlocking and locking the car from memory (I no longer have the car to be able to test it for you)
I do remember though on my second A3 the lighting worked differently to the first one.
Is your car fitted with matrix lights? Otherwise I don't believe they will...
Shouldn't be an issue as I've wired a front and rear camera from a different brand before.
Not 100% sure on the model, best to check with the website, but the discount code should work across the full range of products.
Here's the video for guidance on how to run the cable from front to back:
Definitely, plus the app is really slick to use.
The discount code has already been used over 50 times so super glad it was worth filming and sharing :)
It would be me more accurate comparing the sline to the base s3.
Not saying the price is justified but with the ed1 you get a few more extras such as larger virtual cockpit, 19" wheels as standard, black styling pack, flat bottom wheel, ambient lighting (may no longer be available). With the s3...
Hi all,
It's been a while since I filmed anything to do with an A3, but fitcamX contacted me and I felt this was worth sharing with everyone as it's hands down how all dash cams should come from factory.
You can buy it from the below link and use the discount code I managed to swing...
So it will act towards a purchase and they will ship in the next batch.
If it's the carsifi you're after, I'm just about to list mine for sale. I've now got a different head unit in the car and no longer need it.
I'm based in the UK though which may or may not be convenient based on where you are.
Definitely possible bud. I even made a video for it here (comfort and sound pack):
Don't be afraid to literally lay on the floor to get the right angle to poke the clip and unplug it. Even people who told me there was no way, managed to after I told them to lay down on the floor lol
Try to get any Comms with the dealer in writing etc so you have some history. This may come in useful if you experience more issues further down the line.
Fingers crossed though it seems some of the major ones (such as SOS and mmi reboots have started to be fixed now)
Assuming this is a typo / I've understood it wrong? I believe the new cars are still rolling off the line with the same problems.
Unfortunately Audi customer service will be like talking to a brick wall, I completely agree with everything you mentioned in your post btw, but having been there...
I've seen one or two where the boot doesn't close properly without giving it a firm slam. Similar to the passenger doors that myself and others faced.
Watching this thread closely to see when this will finally be fixed, blackwall tunnel is the place I'd be going straight after the update to...
It varies with success, works for Volkswagen's and Skoda's but with the Audi's it's a bit hit and miss for example it doesn't work on the q3 but does on other models.
Definitely worth a shot. This won't stop the alert appearing however but it should help get rid of it when it shows up and keeps...
That view is new to the my22 models along with the wireless android auto. That chap who created the video is one of my viewers and we exchanged a few messages about it
