I gripped it with 3 sets of vice grips...no good.

Here is the new strut with the tip I don't see how that would work? It'll just spin the shaft. I have to find a way to stop the shaft from spinning.

**SOLVED Replaced v158 motor with updated part from VW...problem solved...definitely not a job for the faint @ heart. F

I'll give that a shot. If it is the motor, some diagrams online pointed the v158 motor to the left side (by the steering wheel area) but no definite DIY or instructions on how to access it.

**SOLVED** Replaced the 50amp fuse under the hood and everything got power. Must be something up because of the 2 blown fuses...but for now, I'm good

Well I've been trying to locate the diagram for the box under the hood as I'm starting to wonder if that 50amp I found in the arm rest powers the three items not working...if so, I wonder why someone would have removed it in the first place.
