All done lads, bought some 300W pioneers and wired them up to my amp, huge difference like you said

Well after a lot of head scratching reading diagrams etc I decided to wire them straight to the head unit, so I looked for the amp, couldn’t find it so I thought how weird, took the rear trim off to get to the speaker and found out that my car doesn’t actually have factory rear speakers haha my bad

Or is there anything I can modify on that wiring to get them to work without a new adapter?

Hi, replaced my head unit on my 2007 A3 a few weeks ago, I did research before so assumed I would have a few problems with getting the rear speakers to work. It was a standard double din unit with the quadlock adapter, non BOSE or no rear sub I bought this adapter from eBay (picture attached)...

Used a multimeter and unplugged the unit and it went down to 0.05 amps from 0.70, 100% sure it’s the head unit/wiring. as for the unit, yeah it’s alright thinking about swapping it out for a Apple car play unit though but they’re a bit much imo unless you know of any decent cheaper ones? My...

Cheers for your reply, yeah I think I’ve killed this battery too shame because it’s practically brand new by the looks of things, did you have any problem with losing your settings on the unit eg. clock, speaker settings? Cheers
