Hi all,
Hope you're all well and keeping safe.
Apologies for bringing up an old thread... Just need some advice as there is not much info for my car on the A7 page.
I've got an Audi A7 BiTDI C7 Facelift and I'm looking to upgrade the brakes to a BBK. With the additional BHP and Torque it...
Agreed. The 4G8 facelift is the best looking A7 released to date, especially with the lights. Not a fan of touchscreens. Had a VW Mk7 as a courtesy car and the touchscreen was dreadful. I think with the touchscreens you spend more time looking at it compared to the turn knob where you can just...
Hi Chris,
I bought one from ebay for around £600 brand new. There are some second hand steering wheels on there. Just need to browse on a daily basis. Not sure on the model numbers. Installation is quick. Half hour job. They are not cheap tbh...
Hi Pete,
I've got Carista and its much more simple to use compared to Obdeleven. With OBD eleven you need to purchase credits. With Carista you pay like £30 for a year and you can activate everything that is supported on your vehicle. Its pretty cool tbh. You can also reset engine management light.
I agree with Bishop197. I'd stay away from tuning boxes. DPF tends to clog up fast and sometimes they can end up being quite smokey. Plus side is quick installation and different modes to suit normal driving or track day. If you were to go for the tuning box route i would suggest you find a...
I'm not quite sure on the specs. Its not a simple swap. Correct me if i'm wrong but you have to get a battery with a BEM code and once fitted in you have to get it coded using VCDS. It's a pain in the backside.
Why don't you just turn Start/Stop off?
Wait... I've just double checked on my settings...
Theres a setting on VCDS where you can enable 'Auto start/stop system with engine running and drivers door opened' This needs to be enabled.
Unfortunately, this setting is not on MMI :(
If you're passing by Birmingham at all next week, i can...
Hi Pete,
I'm sure thats tied in with start stop button?
I've deactivated my start/stop button. When i start my engine and open the drivers door, the engine is still running and no problem at all. I just get the key not in car warning and thats it.
Try plugging VCDS and change the start/stop...
The customer service was really good. He actually sat down with me and discussed what they'll be doing.
Only 1 issue i had was and EML light a couple days later. Plugged VCDS in and it was a DPF error. Called them up and Unicorn explained that they haven't worked on this facelift version before...
Went on the ramp around half 10 and they did a dyno to check the health of the vehicle. Nipped into Manchester for some Lunch whilst they worked on my car. Came back around 4 and the car was done!
Booked it for 9am. Arrived at the place and the mechanic which was a few units away did the EGR and DPF. I bought a separate DPF delete pipe from Darkside so it was just a straight swap. Thought i'd retain the DPF just in case.
They did the remap, DPF, EGR, Adblue and also a gearbox map as well and they quoted me pretty much the same as Bobby which was around £800. Bobby said 3 days. Unicorn was done in a day. Now they've mapped an A7 i guess any more A7's they get would be a piece of cake and less time as they know...
Yes Its a BiTDI version. 3 days for the car?! Mine was done in a day.
My car was the first A7 they mapped as they normally get RS4'S, 6'S, 7's and other turbo aspirated petrol cars in so it did take longer than expected.
