Sorry I don't other than loose enough not to rip the threads out of the head and tight enough not to loose compression.
A mobile mechanic did mine and used the torque wrench built into his experienced arms (he guessed!).
Hi David,
I've replaced mine. Much easier than I expected. Just be careful with the threads as your going into an alloy head.
I cannot remember which one it was but one of the four is different and needs coding I think. I had an issue with no.2 but replaced all 3 normal ones for good measure.

So helpful, thank you.
One thing to highlight is the step "The tabs circled in blue in the pic, fit in front of the screw holes on the mirror motor."
Get this wrong and it won't refit well and you could break the clips.
Assuming that damage is to metal and not bolt on plastic skirts it's a question for a body shop.
I expect they will cut out that section and weld in bit but they might be able to knock something out of what you have.
Standard rules apply... Get recommendations, Get a few quotes, ask what...
I've a 2016 2.0tdi Avant 190 ultra too and get far better than 33mpg. I would get the "map" removed as many of them just trick the engine to increase fuel pressure.
With all the different engine options, gearboxes, 2/4 wheel drive, driving modes, car set-up (tyre pressures for example)...
I had a similar issue with my 2005 A6 and found that Audi use the same shark fin on lots of different models so just buy any one. It also looks the same as my current 2016 A6. The only issue is that some have shorter leads but you can easily buy an extension cable.
Also, if you carefully lift...
Finished and pleased with the result. I've kept the silver on the front as I think the black edition grill looks too washed out without the contrasting colour.
Welcome! You're car looks great.
As per my post above, I got mine from eBay, there are two different sizes, one slightly smaller and one slightly larger.
I had a C6 with trims which were different to what you commonly see. If you look at the options codes in the front of the service book you can check if they were factory fit or aftermarket. It's most likely they are a factory option.
You could also try getting hold of the options booklet...
I'm thinking of keeping silver front because of the black edition grill and black rings on the back as I have a metallic red so would look awesome.
The only thing stopping me is I cannot find black "A6" "TDI Ultra" badges to match.
I've had two A6's and had a Westfalia detachable with dedicated electrics kit fitted to both by a local tow bar company who are the same people who fit them at all the local VAG dealers.
I wouldn't both with the electronic retractable as I believe you still have to click them into place so...
Can you post up your experience when fitted. I've seen some poor reviews on ali-express of the fitting near the outside.
This might be different so I'm keen to know.
