It's likely you need a software update as older software versions (I think yours included) only supported 2Gb.
I'm not sure where you'd get it from, other than a dealer.
If it costs too much from them, let me know. I'm just about to replace my symphony 3 that supports 32Gb SD card (I have one...
It's a shame that Carista doesn't show the Fault priority and frequency codes so you know what to focus on. Any chance you can get someone with a VCDS cable to get a more detail log dump?
See here: http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/tour/dtc_screen.php
No worries. I'm going through the same process on mine - frustrating that we have to do all of this just to play music from a phone, but it's worth it to make the most of our car audio system

Just the headunit as it's essentially an upgraded version of the one you have. Best way is to check the part number (slight difference from concert to Symphony) and then just compare the numbers on eBay.
One more thing you need: an unlock code for your new headunit. There are sellers on eBay...
Then you'll need to buy a new headunit. You can get one from eBay for £75-90 which has the media button.
It's probably the easiest and cheapest option that doesn't require doing crazy things like integrating a raspberry pi with bluetooth into the existing one.

What head unit do you have? If you've got concert or symphony, does the button under radio say "CD/SD" or "Media"?
If it's CD/SD then you don't have an aux port on the back and can't easily add Bluetooth, USB or AMI capability.
If it says Media then you can add one of these
You'll need to...
1. Get car out of storage
2. Afix number plates
3. Change four new tyres
4. MOT
5. Tax.
6. Engine Oil and filter
7. Air filter
8. Cabin filter
9. Rear discs and pads
10. Brake fluid flush
11. Coolant flush
12. Transmission oil and filter
13. Carbon clean engine (just mobile version for now - I...
No worries. The other to consider is OBD Eleven. It's like Carista but uses a credits system - you get a couple hundred credits if you're buy the product version and the modifications/service resets etc cost anywhere from 10-100 credits.
I don't believe they expire and you can purchase more at...
It's definitely more user friendly as you're just pushing an icon on the screen.
The options break down into three categories really:
- Diagnose
- Customise
- Service
Diagnose is your standard OBD2 type of thing with fault codes.
Customise will depend on your car and model but is an extensive...
It's essentially a more user-friendly version of vag-com/ross-tech/VCDS software. There's an associated Carista app (for iOS and Android) from the respective stores and it's advisable to use that.
When you buy the adapter you get a month's free trial and it allows you to do much (but not all)...
So I don't know much about how to remove Radweld or similar coolant stop-leak additives, but take a look at this video by ChrisFix:
The entire video is about how to replace your radiator, but at the link above I've fast forwarded to the point where he shows what a radiator looks like with all...
You could always just use washing up liquid mixed in with water sprayed onto a lint-free cloth as a gentle degreaser to get rid of the dirt and oils from your hands.

I've been using cashback sites for a while now (topcashback, for those that are interested) and sometimes the stars align with lowest prices + decent cashback.
I was shopping around for my car insurance and found AXA the cheapest by quite a way - I was quoted up to £1800 by specialist insurers...
That's seriously annoying and there must be some flexibility (and general commonsense) they can apply in this instance.
Just make sure you get any agreements to preserve your warranty in writing, ideally from the branch manager or someone from head office.

Sorry for the stupid question (not sorry to bring the topic back to the OP's subject though!) - I thought that the flag had to be from the registered country of the car?
Now before you beat on me, I now realise that's not true as some have the European mark. If that's the case, why bother? In...
