    What are these called and what/how best to refurbish?

    Wonder if anyone can shed light on these. I expect that they are some sort of protection but they have deteraited and look tatty. I have seen some S3's with and some without.

    Red Brake Calipers on S3 2002 8L?

    Hi, I am trying to keep my 8L 2002 S3 which I purchased in Jan 2019 as a future classic as original as can be. The calipers are looking tired and in need of refurbishing. I am considering painting these and wonder if i should paint these red or will this affect the value? Some advice please.
