I’m currently stage 2 + with miltek downpipe and sports cat with non res cat back.
Sports cat is a bit more expensive but gets you through mot and sounds perfect if you ask me. No drone at all. More of a raw aha
For stage 2 + you’ll also want to upgrade fuel pump and induction
So had a race with an MRC tuned S3 8V the other day, done me on the straights but I said good bye down the country roads ;) anyway!
since then one of the cooling fans will not stop running, keeps running until the battery dies. Got to be some sort of sensor?
Any idea what needs replacing and...
oh right, is there anything I can do to resolve this for the mean time? Disks and pads on the front have only covered 1000miles or so, currently black diamond grooved disks and brembo hp2000 pads.
Did have an issue where my wheel hub came loose and the Caliper actually scored in to my new disks...
So just got my car back from AmD now currently stage2+ but my brakes are juddering on heavy braking assuming a warped disk so I’m looking at upgrading.
Looking at the k sport 356mm 8pots kit (link below) my question is are 356 overkill and should I be looking at the 330mm? And has anyone any...
Cars currently with AmD getting its stage 2+, they’ve told me it needs a new stat as car won’t get hot so can’t dyno it. Problem is main dealers are closed until further notice. so I’m trying to source a genuine stat from elsewhere.
just need the correct part number, mines an S3 8P 2007 plate...
You’ve got the facelift version so no doubt it’ll be slightly different, eye it up before you fit it and make sure all the screws for the under tray can go back, it was 2 either side close to the wheel arch that the splitter covered. Easiest way I found to do it was clamp it on to the car...
Cheers @J0N, well it being supplied with bolts and them needing to be a max of 30mm away from the front of the bumper it was very very tight to get the bolts on! Then once the splitter was on I found that 2 screws each side holding a section of the under tray on were now hidden by the splitter...
Hi cheers for your replies, sorry forgot to mention my S38p is sitting on H&R springs (25mm)
I’m seeing a lot of mixed reviews on that size wheel and ET fitting without any rubbing issues. Really want to get this right before purchasing them.
Wheels are actually 18” 8J ET42,
So you guys...
Looking at some veemans, highest offset they do is et43, anyone fitted wheels a similar size? Did they fit and not look ridiculous?
I’m all for a wider stance but not a stupid stance aha.
Cheers, Cam
Agree with paddy, I do think some of these intakes are actually worse than the standard filter and can heat soak. I know when I fitted my Revo intake which is meant to be the b*llocks on the S3 even with a heat shield around the filter the 3” pipe from the filter got almost too hot to touch...
Currently everything is stock, for the sake of £200 for some grooved black diamond disks I think I’ll change them.
Be interesting to see if disks and HP2000 pads make any difference to stock set up
So cars failed on pads at the front, taken it away so I can order some HP2000 or DS2500, stock disks have some life in them still.
Is it worth changing them for some grooved disks at the same time or will it not make much of a difference in regards to stopping?
Should I just put some HP2000...
