    Transfer box failure…due to tyres?

So an update… my car has been off the road for 4 weeks now but some good news is that the car was sent back to the original dealership who then shifted it on a low loader to another Audi dealership within their group. It was then thoroughly checked over and the bevel box was found to have failed...

    Extended Warranty

Same as you im miles away so bought the extended warranty from the franchise dealership. So then if you ever have an issue my advice would be never go to a competing Audi franchise as they’ll look for any way to “void” your warranty to persuade you into feeling that you have to pay for the work...

    Extended Warranty

Expect to fight every time you need to use extended warranty in my experience. I have had 2x 4 figure failures in 9 months on my 3 year old RS. Are you extending the warranty with the original garage you bought it from?

    Transfer box failure…due to tyres?

Tyres were never changed only things I have done is replaced rear discs and pads with brembos and had roof wrapped black. Cosmetic interior bits but that’s it everything else is untouched since the approved used. Didn’t realise the approved used covered 12months but that is another question if...

    Transfer box failure…due to tyres?

Cheers guys this is all really useful stuff and will be all of great value when fighting my case…if it gets to that. Hopefully not. I do actually have a photo of the front tyres on day of pickup as I was so chuffed about the size of the front discs I had to photo them (geeky I know) and send it...

    Transfer box failure…due to tyres?

VW had assured me that the Haldex had been serviced just before the sale. So most likely a year ago. Having listened to the Audi Cam again he refers to it as a Bevel box/transfer box and actually calls out the “slash” in the video which I noted as odd. Maybe that is its true name. Appreciate the...

    Transfer box failure…due to tyres?

What typically can cause the transfer box to fail? I know that is a circumstantial question but I’m frantically reading through other posts about the transfer box to see what I can possibly go back with…for now I have to go back to VW to say you sold me a car that doesn’t match the spec or it is...

    Transfer box failure…due to tyres?

I bought it as an approved used car from VW. I cannot see the tyre change so I imagine it was a non main dealer job or tyre place. The tyres do look stretched as the techy on the vid shows he compares with the back and they are the same PS4S on the front to the back they curve over from the...

    Transfer box failure…due to tyres?

So if you opt for the square setup should there be a mapping change to alter the amount of power to those wheels?

    Transfer box failure…due to tyres?

Been into Audi today to diagnose a droning noise coming from centre of car from 25mph upwards. So, turns out transfer box is knackered needing a 3 grand spend to fix it. (Car is stock FYI) on the Audi cam the technician pointed out that 235 tyres had been fitted to the 255 alloys! Stretched...

    Audi RS3 Mrc

Don’t pay Audi the £500 for a sniff, it will be a waste of money. Speak to a MRC or a reputable German tuner nearby. Does it start up lumpy or not turn over straight away? I’m keen to see how this goes as I’m considering MRC stage 2 so I’ve been watching from every angle to positives and...

    RS3 2018 Saloon Price

Yeah I think if you bought new you should take the hit on the SS but if you are buying used it’s personal preference and as I’ve had those seats before and wasn’t blown away by them it wasn’t on the top of my list and its to what is available at that time. The market is so ridiculous at the...

    RS3 2018 Saloon Price

To the original point the price is too expensive for a 2018 RS with 12k mileage IMO. The mileage is low but who cares these days when most cars in the last 2 years average 20miles per month to Tesco and back. As mentioned it’s all about the options and colours and how much you value that. To a...

    RS3 2018 Saloon Price

Having had both the SS in my previous car and the standard RS seats now, visually the SS seats look awesome but you don’t really feel like you sit in them, more like slide about over the glorious stitch patterns as you drive the beast...The standard seats I’m sorry to say are so much more...

    PCP interest rates

Or Northridge Finance. I got 5.9% on a M3 but the car wasn’t for me in the end. It all depends on your personal circumstances though, deposit and the months. Don’t just look at the usual 2,3,4 year options consider adjusting the months too I found 42 months worked out quite nicely as it unlocks...

    PCP interest rates

Try Forza Finance a broker that has access to good rates. I can get 5.9% with Santander but Forza got me 4.9% with a bit of haggling on a PCP which worked out well for me.
