I don't understand this bit - plenty of people still prefer or don't mind buying privately and for a number of reasons - at the end of the day you don't need hundreds of buyers, just one or two will do. Plenty of people have cash or prefer to borrow from a bank rather than at the high captive...
No worries Richie - be patient, it will sell.
That's not going to help you much but sometimes leasing can be cheaper than buying and it removes all that selling hassle (but probably adds other limitations too) - I am paying £3k/year total for the 1.4 S-Line Estate for instance, although I have...
I am the opposite - I always sell privately £15k-£25k - the market has cleaned up massively over the past few years. The vast majority of buyers buy fron the trade and the majority of sellers sell to the trade / WBAC - which leaves a small hardcore group of weirdos like me who insist on buying...
Sorry to hear that Richie - you have 2 levers at your disposal : marketing and price.
You have marketed it well (maybe you want to be more specific about when the warranty finishes and when the next service is, assuming this will be in your favour). Sadly options don't hold much value on the...
39.8 long term average over first 5k miles - mainly 25 miles commute, A/B roads with a bit of town/village driving. If I can be bothered I get 45mpg.
250 miles trip last week yielded 49mpg at 75/80 mph cruise (private road only of course).
Very impressed - that kills of 4-pot diesels totally...
Mytyres haven't been competitive for several years. They initially bought market shares and then prices crept up.
Oponeo can be cheap but no integrated fitting. Blackcircles can be the cheapest alongside Tyreshopper/National, with the right codes.
I loved the CF trim...in the 1997 S4. Nowadays I find it's a little council / Halfords.
Prices are high indeed too. My Mondraker mtb frame has about 2kgs worth of high modulus / load bearing CF and only cost £1,700 despite a lot of labour (and a £400 shock). Basic weaved CF for cosmetic use is...
I would probably give the S4 base sound 7 out of 10 vs the base M135i at 3 out of 10.
10 being Bose as the best available OE , not that I think music ever sounds good in a car.
The SE doesn't have it but makes do with a 8-speaker passive system according to the AUDI UK site.
Quite irrelevant as the OP is looking at S4 anyway, which will offer a "free" upgrade to his existing system in the M135i.
Just realised the OP is talking about S4, thanks! The point however still stands that the quality of the standard S4 sound will be far better than on a M135i if the BMW didn't have an optional upgrade (mind you, that's not difficult).
What do we call standard ? I think only the first trim level SE gets the basic audio as I know my S-line has the upgraded level "as standard". It's pretty good and similar to the M135i first level upgrade which I had (the £300 optional one).
Edit : Sport also has the upgraded 10-speaker Audi...
But I guess the fake RS4 would depreciate far quicker than a real RS4 as most of the "investment" in modifying is lost. I think it's a false economy and you still don't have the real thing.
My commute is 25 miles of mixed town/ Dual CW/ country roads and my historical average in the 1.4 manual Avant on 18's is exactly 40mpg verified after 3,500 miles from new. Delighted with that as I am not trying to save fuel. I would imagine the 2.0 would hardly use more but was substantially...
OP, please, please, please - do the following : put in a formal complaint (at any time before or after you have swapped policies). They have tried to punish you for wanting to reduce their indemnity costs!!! Absurd.
And then if you're not happy with the outcome (you won't be) - put in a...
Cheers. Nothing fancy just Finish Kare 218 sealant, cheap and cheerful. What makes the paint pop is the fact that it's black and flat as opposed to metallic. The dealer was good enough not to swirl it and that has been maintained since then with careful washing.
Dave, overall average since new has been stuck on 38.7mpg for weeks. I checked the calibration by doing a refill test and it's within 1mpg of reality so not Jimmy Nail.
It may appear a little disapointing but my mileage profile is not favourable, a 25 miles commute compromising of rush hour...
