Just can’t afford a whole new exhaust system that’s the problem.
Like I said I listened to videos on YouTube and mine sounded very similar to them when running.
It’s only at speeds of 65/70 plus not at town driving or lower speeds. I’ve heard the car being driven from outside, listened to YouTube videos and it sounds the same. It also doesn’t look like it’s been altered in anyway
Ok so this is probably gonna go against the grain and sound a bit odd but I cannot stand the drone from my S3 standard exhaust inside the car so would like to know if there’s any good sound deadening material I could put in the boot to take away some of the drone and where the best places to put...
That’s a great price for both wings, mines isn’t at that stage yet and a simple touch up is all it needs but that’s good to know a full replacement isn’t exactly gonna break the bank.
I know category C/D is recorded but I’m going under the assumption mines will just need new body panels, no structural damage and not enough damage to warrant any kind or write off.
Just want to know so when it comes selling time, I’d have no issue being honest with a potential buyer but I’m...
Check the front arches for corrosion/paint bubbling. Have this on my S3 and have since discovered it’s common on A3’s, not massively expensive to repair if caught early enough but still something to consider and check.
34 year old apprentice mechanical engineer. Was a postman for almost 10 years and decided it was time for a change and do something I actually enjoy. All going well I should be qualified by the end of this year.
I had a full set of springs and shocks, front and back, fitted to my Mk1 Leon Cupra R few years ago for about £130.
Different cars I know but similar suspension construction so I’d say that’s very steep just for front springs.
No airbag didn’t go off, was a relatively low speed shunt. All the damage is on the drivers front corner, deffo a new wing and headlight and potentially new wheel and front bumper
ok so just last week my S3 was hit by an idiotic tourist, only had the car 6 weeks. He admitted liability so all repairs are being covered by his insurance, what I want to know is provided all damage is cosmetic and easily repaired (which from what I can tell it should be) and the car isn’t cat C...
This happened on mine but a levelling sensor had failed and threw up an error message on the dash, if you don’t have an error message you might just to recalibrate them.
Fair enough, for what it’s worth the cam follower is cheap and really easy to change. Plenty of YouTube guides on how to change it as I’m planning on doing this soon when the weather picks up and have looked at a few guides.
