Just a quick update, the 360 camera has behaved itself since the update and always comes up i.e. I no longer have to switch it manually from Graphic to Overhead view. :icon thumright:
I was quoted £380ish by one and when I said ‘for an oil change’ they said they could knock 10% off. So called another local dealer who had quoted me £340ish last year (from a call centre) and they said £340 and when I queried that it was able to be dropped to £300ish.
They performed the...
Had the car from new (67 plate in Sept17) and dropping it in next week at Camberely.
The ‘agent’ on the phone asked what else needed/would I like doing, so I if they could:
Perform map updates
Check the ACC as when in a 40 zone it often drops to 30 asnd stays there
Any software updates (I’ve...
Looking like I need to change my front tyres after 11.5 months ownership and only 7k miles.
The car (S4 Avant) came with the Pirelli P Zero 245/35/ZR19 93.
Thinking the Michelin Pilot Sports sound good.
Also possibly looking at Nitrogen inflation to try and help extend durability/life in this set.
Yes, exactly that.
All in all I think Audi ‘development’ of features (including the MMI) over the past year I’ve had my car has been disappointing/non-existent - which is a shame as there are definitely areas and room to enhance and improve IMHO...
When selecting reverse gear to have the screen show the overhead ‘camera’ view as standard rather than the overhead ‘sensor’ view?
I know you can change it manually each time, but it’s a bit of a faff.
If they can update the Audi Connect to do this, why can’t they make it more User friendly -as in terms of letting the User decide what he/she wants to see in there
For the most part the options are pretty poor (IMO).
Even my old 2013 Mercedes 350 let you browse the www on their internal system...
My OH has a 66 plate A5 which has electric mirrors, but the passenger one doesn’t drop when you put the car in reverse (even with passenger mirror selected on mirror control on drivers door).
I know this is part of an option (I have it on my 67 S4) but wondered if it’s possible to code it in...
I appreciate that not everyone will have these, but for those that do then you effectively have ‘all the tools’ and just need audi to link it all up with some software.
This may also help them (Audi) get more buyers speccing these options, so would benefit them as well as the purchaser :)
Why can’t Audi just enable the car to use the built in cameras (for those who have them. Front, Rear and/or 360), linked to the built in HDD and WiFi capability.!?!?
Having had to go into my safe for the spare key to my wife’s car (also Audi so similar key), I grabbed my spare S4 key in error at first. On closer inspection it is probably the ‘main’ key as it a little nicer - see photo collage below of the two keys (front and rear). Prior to this I thought...
It was a holiday upto Loch Long, tho this was taken on banks of Loch Lomond.
Will definitely head back there again (despite the 7 hour drive -including food, toilet and of course fuels stops).
This is poor IMO.
You can change the brightness in the menu, but it’s obviously just a white LED and not multi-colour like the rest of the extended interior lighting.
Maybe B&O could advise if possible to change the LED strip..?
Audi do the UTR (Universal Traffic Recorder)which seems like a good idea and you can get it for front and front/rear.
Anyone got one or have experience of them..?

Slightly off topic, but is the LED strip on the front foot speaker supposed to match the (if you have it) extended lighting package colour/s..??
Mine remains white whatever I do with the rest. Just wondered if this is standard or something I should get looked at...
