Go from the top. Take off air filter/cone filter then you will have more room. From there onwards place a rubber glove over the mouth of the tip obviously after removing the dropped clamp. No need to remove subframe or go from the bottom. Just remove what I said and you will be able to see more...

No idea about the diameter of the pipe my is a s3 8l which is a 19 mm I'd hose which I got from auto silicone hoses off ebay..any pics off the pipe in question.post a pic I'm sure a member wizard will know lol

Spoke to a garage friend and can confirm they are the real deal the metal used could differ but they are official brembo make so rest assured mate your ok. I like the face that the inners are painted black so no rust incoming in the future..great find and for that price it's a bargain..

That's right I think the knocking got it working. The thing is that if I put back the trim around the switch then the indicators don't work. They only work if I leave the trim off.. I will remove the relay as soon as I get my radio pull pins from eBay..
