ACC will use a very limited form of engine braking (it'll reduce throttle but never actively shift back to engine brake more). All other slowing down is done with the regular brakes, and the brake lights will come on whenever they are used.

I can even play internet radio through the MMI from my phone connected via WiFi while that same phone is using Android Auto, so yes, it works. The only source that stops working once you use Android Auto is Bluetooth audio.

I do have to say that besides the surround, focus and maximum volume it's not all that different from the Audi Sound System. I think it's worth it for the LEDs and those settings (I really like the surround), but the Audi Sound System is more value for money.

I got my car a week ago, manufactured in June. No tech pack, MMI Navigation, software 0211, B&O, subwoofer control. Sounds great too!

It's possible the new MIB2 hardware simply doesn't have a subwoofer adjustment available for the built-in amplifier used for the Audi Sound System. The B&O sound system has a dedicated amplifier with an extra DSP (for things like focus and surround effects) and things might work different there.

It's under the left seat, which is the passenger seat in the UK or the driver's seat in the rest of the world, if you have a Bang and Olufsen sound system. If you don't have a B&O sound system, there is no separate amplifier, one built-in to the main MMI unit is used.

It's possible that 0679 to 0875 (sorry, I confuse the exact numbers sometimes) is an actual hardware change and not just a software update. Which would suck.

I think they've fixed it for the 'better' MMI, the one with touch input and flash storage that supports the virtual cockpit (software 0675 and 0893). But, the 'standard' MMI (0191/0192 etc) didn't seem to get the update.
