I'll certainly post back when I get the car back and I'll try to include some pics of the finished result, although I won't be able to do any before pics because the car's already in the garage. I'm really looking forward to trying them... I hope they're as good as they sound.

Don't worry, I'll definitely post back once I get the car back. The trouble is, I'm not sure what I'm comparing the new bulbs to. My car lights had a bluey-greeny tinge to them and didn't feel as bright as some others I've driven. I don't know whether it's because the OEM bulbs were worn, or if...

OK, I pulled the trigger on a set of Philips Extreme gen2 bulbs. I hope I'm not disappointed (especially at that price!).

The Osram bulb in the test is yours - they mention the CBI, which is the Cool Blue Intense. I suspect the Philips ExtremeVision may be the same as the Osram Nightbreaker. Other than the "+150%" on the packaging of the Philips, the specs look pretty much identical on the ABD website. I think...

Thanks for posting, those lights look great! Just to throw another YouTube test into the mix - the Phillips came out really well in this video. A always thought Phillips and Osram were the same company, so these should be the Nightbreakers, right?

I'd love to do the same on the main roof lights in my S8. You can make out the filament of the halogen bulb through the frosted cover, so I'm sure it'll be the same with an LED. an array of LEDs in the right size would look awesome.

Yes, as others have said, think of it as adding to your existing wash routine, rather than replacing it. The idea is for it to loosen the dirt stuck to your car so some will come off with pressure washing, the rest will come out more easily when washing and shouldn't need any scrubbing. Also...

Lots of halogens look the same, but it looks a lot like an H7 to me.

In that case, I stand by my earlier comment - a transmission service/flush is a definite must-do. Audi claim the D3 gearbox is sealed for life, but never made the same claim about the D2. Let us know how you get on. :)

I know it has a timelapse function where it takes one frame every second. I think it also has impact detection and it records a few seconds prior to the impact too. The Blackvue cameras prefer motion detection rather than impact detection but that can be troublesome if you park somewhere busy.
