Yep, the brain went in the boot where my old cd changer was so it's out of site, i'm really happy with the system. Great bit of kit. Is the HID system specifically for the A6 or is it just an H7 bulb conversion?

Looks really nice mate, especially that grill. How much was the HID kit? Very tempting .... p.s. I got the same DVD headunit as you - well chuffed, got it off Ebay, brand new, direct from Kenwood at just over £500 - local audio shop wanted £800.

DPM, i'll be coming to see you, probably in 6-8 weeks, to see what you can do for my car - '98 A6 1.8T. I'm also a bit lacking in knowledge in the re-map area and have previously spoken to Simon Coe (nice guy) of CCCTech who chips the car but i'm just wanting to see what alternatives there are...

Jason, what car do you have? I've just been to Halfrauds today to have a Ripspeed dvd headunit installed only for them to say it won't go in - I have a 98 A6 and only want a dvd headunit rather than in the rear of the headrests. Cheers

What model head unit is it? I've tried to get one fitted but seem to be having problems with the security flap - is yours ok? Looks great mate.

Sorry for this taking so long to reply to - springs are now fitted and i'm well pleased. Much better handling & road holding (less body roll) and still free from any rubbing off the wheels and that's just with the springs done on standard shocks.

Mine does exactly the same (A6 98 1.8T) - i've now just disconnected the drivers window from the button unit and haven't bothered fixing it yet. Very interested to see how you fix yours though.

I thought the same mate but never mind. I think the wheels are 8" wide and I think the springs are Jamex - still haven't got them fitted though but it should give about 40mm drop which will be fine for me. Cheers
