The used market is going up if anything, some of the cars I have been looking at have inflated c5% in 3 months. Reduced output, poor offerings and uncertainty all driving it.

RS3 drift mode, coming to a ditch or Birmingham wall soon…. Externally it’s much improved over the standard range and S3, hopefully they’ll keep that wheel design for production.

Cracking looking car Jassy, I loved my MK3 and that was only the TDi ultra. That on 19’s also suffered badly with road roar on less than perfect surfaces, whilst the cabin is a much nicer place to sit I don’t think it’s overly insulated. The driving experience will override any little niggles...

Completely agree, I think the Golf is better looking overall, prefer the dash layout, may be not the seats and the exterior pips it. Would be interesting to see the latest S3 and R in a drag race. Still find it odd that the S3 doesn’t have the same output as the R. The pricing really has got...

The Golf R reviews are great but £40k plus for a Golf is bonkers, especially with that interior, it’s not terrible but it’s not premium.

Good stuff. I was always happy with the S3 mpg, just wondered if the extra weight had much impact.

How are you finding the Cupra, what’s it like on the juice? Tempted by one of these or Volvo XC40 T5. Just need that little bit more clearance, the Volvo does have a bit more and wading capability which could swing it.

The wheels aren’t great but all black suits the design the best, the fake vents and new light design do not look so overly large in this spec.
