    Speed Camera Fix

Just open the app. Don't enter a destination if you want to use the in car Audi system. Waze runs in the background monitoring where you are. As long as you have the alerts enabled in Waze, if you are approaching a hazard, eg traffic light camera, it gives you a voice warning.

    Speed Camera Fix

Agreed. Even the pothole warnings are accurate. It just doesn't look as good as the in car system but running it in the background gives the best of both worlds.

    Speed Camera Fix

Apologies if this is already common knowledge ! I’ve wanted speed camera alerts on the Audi sat nav for ages. I know some of you have a fix but it’s too complicated for me. I use Apple CarPlay. Now Waze runs on this I simply open it and let it run in the background and revert to the Audi...

    1.5 tfsi real world mpg

Hi Viper Agree that petrol will not match diesel for mpg but think you may be pleasantly surprised by the 2.0 TFSI. I’ve had up to 60mpg on a long motorway trip when keeping to speed limit. Hope you enjoy it when it arrives. Ian

    Facelift 2.0 TFSI

Hi Tempz I have had an A3 2.0TFSI since 9/2016 and haven't had any issues. Its a great car. I spend most of my time city driving but used eco mode for a busy motorway trip recently and got great indicated fuel consumption -

    Upgraded to A4

I have the 2.0 TFSI A3 and love the engine. Had a 2.0 diesel A4 loan car for the day whilst mine was serviced. Thought the car was great but missed the petrol engine.

    S3 Realistic MPG

    1) please read my previous post in which I stated I’ve done manual brim to brim checks 2) please read my first line which said I was commenting comparatively and given there are other comments quoting trip computer figures I think my observations are relevant to the debate

    S3 Realistic MPG

Traffic was (as always) heavy so was often disengaging cruise control and coasting to gently slow down and then re-engaging cruise to pick up speed which is does really slowly in that mode. I was surprised at the mpg, especially as Birmingham to Manchester is uphill all the way...….

    S3 Realistic MPG

I’ve checked it manually filling the tank brim to brim and the trip computer is fairly accurate so these numbers are correct. In auto drive select it does around 52mpg at motorway legal limit so the efficiency mode does make quite a difference. It accelerates like a bus though in efficiency mode.

    S3 Realistic MPG

My car isn't an S3, its the 2.0 TFSI 190 but just for a comparison - I don't normally use the efficiency mode but used it today for the motorway trip from Birmingham to Manchester driving at 70mph and 50mph through the roadworks using cruise control. It was a 74 mile trip, fuel consumption was...

    Late oil service

I had the same. Rang to book car in for service 3 weeks prior to it being due. Needed a loan car but none available for 5 weeks. Dealer also said there was a 1500 mile tolerance. That said I tried another dealer and got it in much quicker.

    1.5 tfsi real world mpg

Just for comparative purposes, my 2.0 TFSI 190, after 13000 miles, average speed 19mph, average fuel is 34mpg. Motorway trips at legal limit = 49mpg Best long trip with time to kill was 53mpg.

    Facelift FL A3 2.0 TFSI 190

Glad you’re happy with the car Geoff. I share your thoughts re the engine. Had my first service last week at 12500 miles after picking it up 1/9/16. Just the oil service but inspection due in 6 months. I hate the hassle of going to the dealer and it was cheaper to have both done together so...

    Facelift 2.0TFSI quattro (190PS) vs. S3

Not sure what the letters stand for but I’m sure it’s something quite distinguished as I’ve always found this member of the forum to be extremely helpful and courteous.
