I'm toying with the idea of an S4, i feel that now is the time to cross a V8 off the bucket list, i'm currently running about in a Cooper S clubman that I love but feel I need to get something bigger and automatic. We also have a mk1 TT Roadster and a B7 TFsi auto .. So for those that own or...

I thought the 2.0tfsi engine was good ...

I thought the 2.0 tfsi engine was a good lump and after owning a Leon Cupra I know how well they go, but after reading about oil pump, pick up pipes and balance shaft issues I'm half tempted to not bother with the A4 I'm about to buy for the wife. I'm tempted to just put it on eBay and not...

    Wheel Spacers on the A3

For those of you that are using spacers what if any affect do they have on the handling of the car ? I appreciate people fit them for looks and i'm happy to do that however not at the expense of handling. Cheers Steve

    S3 brakes

just a quick one, the plates that are on the front calipers with the S3 logo, do they just clip on or are they part of the spring retaining clip ? I was thinking of putting them on the Leon but obviously using the seat logo instead.

    not strictly an A3

well after various posts about what car to get next I finally made a decision last thursday as to what I wanted. I then travelled 180 miles each way to collect it on the saturday without even seeing it or driving it or even a similar model. The A3 has now finally gone and in its place is a...

    1.8 t 163 remaps

i've only ever been a diesel boy but i've started to look to going back to petrol. Currently i'm looking at the 2.0t but also looking at the 1.8t cabriolet. What kind of power can you squeeze out of the 1.8 ? i presume it will go quite a way but i'm looking towards a remap and probably an...

    CV DSG boot

Has anyone on here had to replace the outter CV driveshaft boot on a 2005 A3. I noticed mine has completly split and I don't know if its worth paying Audi £145+vat or paying £12 and fitting it myself. Its only 1 1/2 hours but i'm not sure if its worth the hassell. I tried my local VW dealer but...

    Poor MPG

Is anyone else getting really bad MPG at the minute ? I filled mine up the other night and managed to squeeze 45 litres in ... and i'd only covered 320 miles, so by my reckoning thats 32mpg out of a TDi ... i'd rather get mid 20's and have a petrol !

I know there have been several threads on watches but where is the best place to buy ? online or somewhere local ? I don't know why but I just fancy buying something like a TAG, I quite like the Hamilton edition or some of the F1 range, ideally i'd like to spend less than 1k Thanks Steve

I need some tyres since I have a puncture and rather than replace 1 pirelli i'm going to change both, choices are Goodyear F1 GSD or the Assymetrical version or the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta and they need to be 18's ( what size are they ? ) I have F1 GSD on the front at the moment.

    A4 DTM quattro ...

so does anyone in here have one? what do you think to it ? is it really worth the extra outlay over a fwd 2.0t ? I know it has more power and quattro but you seem to pay more for the dtm over the standard car. What are the running costs like ? Thanks Steve

    I have a Prius ....

but not for long, the local dealer is trying to convince local companies about it and its green credentials, I'll try and get some pictures up but lets just say its a relaxing car and it feels odd - very odd to drive, its a bit like a forklift without the prongs !

does anyone find the A3 a little boring ?

I've now had may A3 Sline 140ps DSG for a little over 9 months and covered a rather low 8k, I like the car it has a nice feel good factor, it feels like its carved from wood and is better than the equivelent A4 Sline although that had much better suspension. I only ever change cars when i'm...

    SEAT pull out off BTCC

so at the end of the year SEAt will leave the BTCC championship, personally I feel its a massive blow to the sport, hopefully Plato will get another driver next year, I wish more manufactures would join and make it like the mid 90's was.
