@WrightClick you'll probably want to get your ECU software version checked then if there is a relevant update needed then book in with Audi, otherwise you'll probably have to pay for diagnostics and Audi BS ! (I struggled to get Audi to agree to do this so went private)
If you have a VDCS...
Rebooting this thread... has anyone had this remap done yet via Phirm ? Keen to know how it is ? (I gather they can supply the United Motorsports maps which include the 'spark cut' feature)
Any info appreciated.
Strongly agree with the above:iagree: comments, the noise is especially addictive. Car gives a smooth ride and is very comfortable, S-line spec is the one to go for in my opinion. I would say that I have Fun each time I jump in it for sure, the car is easy to drive at low and high speeds and...
Don't think you should be concerned btw, hopefully you can test drive it so you should get a feel for it. If the gears sound like there whining then could be a potential issue but with only 28k I doubt it. The only other thing to do would be to get someone to scan it with VCDS to show up any...
Bought mine at 44k, had the DSG and Haldex oil changed in the first few months as it hadn't been done, I gather 40k is the recommended time to change but it won't hurt to do it when you get it
Hi Krysek,
Very pleased to hear that you got you ECU sorted, such an annoying issue and Audi don't seem to want to know!
DJ Alix to the rescue once again :sos:
Happy days

Evening all,
Just wanted to finally share the good news with you all that my issue is now fixed following your advice so thanks to all, much appreciated ;-)
As mentioned previously got no love from Audi on the ECU update so looked up the nearest VCDS person to me with a view to getting them to...
Hi Mall,
Many thanks for your reply, all useful info.
I'm hitting a brick wall with the current Audi garage that I'm dealing with so will have to go elsewhere I think, will let you know if I get it sorted.
Cheers
Hi, they performed a full diagnostics and found no faults, they had the car for over 1 week with test drives and I even went out with a tech to show them the issue which was apparent but still no update was applicable according to them.
I quoted what I believe to be the related TPI = 2005748/4...
Audi say that there is no update for my car that they can apply, my ECU is software version number - 7001
Part number - 022906032GJ
Looks like I'm not going to succeed via the Audi main dealer route ;-(
Hi Mall,
I don't know if you can help me but I have the same problem that you had with you had with your 3.2, mine is a 2005 DSG with ECU software version 7001. I'm struggling to get Audi to update the software - am I right in saying that there is a version 8000+ that it needs to goto in order...
Hi,
Thanks so much for your reply, I'm travelling to the Audi garage now so this information is really helpful, also your English is great .
I'm hoping for a successful outcome, and thanks to you I think I have the info I need.
Cheers
Hi Steven,
I'm trying to get the dealer to apply this fix to my car, could you kindly confirm which exact version your ECU was before the update ? Was is 7000 as quoted above ? and what year and model is your Audi ?
Many thanks
Audi no longer recognise this TPI number apparently - 2005748/4
Starting to massively regret taking this issue to Audi direct, I'm going to see them tomorrow to demonstrate the issue but I have no confidence so I think I will be taking my business to an independent - I'm guessing that they may...
As suspected I'm struggling, several test drives and revving the car to 2k - Audi reckon they cannot see the issue and no fault code is found when scanning :rage:.
I emailed them the following info requesting for them to update my ECU but they say it's for a MANUAL version ! - ( I have DSG)...
Legend -Ju-, thanks so much for this. I had no idea that so many 3.2 owners had this same issue. The battle now is to going to be getting Audi to actually apply this fix to my car, I'm guessing that I could struggle to convince them but lets see how we go...!
Audi can't find the fault ....! ****** typical ;-( Here's roughly what they said --> We have carried out the tests on the vehicle that we discussed and have not been able to experience a misfire or anything that would deliver similar symptoms. We checked the vehicles electronic fault memory...
