    Really low front suspension.

These are the shocks I have on. Couldn’t get pics last night, left my locking nut key at my folks house. Picking it up today. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4X-PERFORMANCE-SHOCK-ABSORBERS-GAS-PRESSURE-Front-Rear-AUDI-A3-8L-TT-/362372514311

    Really low front suspension.

Not sure if they are model specific but I got them from ECP and they said it fits my model. I’ll get pics tonight when I finish work. Had to strip down my golf door to put new regulators in last night.

    Really low front suspension.

No. I have an A3 1.8TQS, I put A3 springs on it and It has the right shocks that are 20mm lower. I haven’t got any Passat parts on it, I was saying I read somewhere about a subframe issue that causes knocks, and the solution was some kit that you can get for passats that do the job.

    Really low front suspension.

Yeah I couldn’t find std shocks so bought the only ones I could find that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. I’ll try have a look for a link to them. I’ll take some pics with and without the wheel on tonight so you can have a look. The springs I bought were std A3 springs which I would have guessed...

    Really low front suspension.

I bought and fitted new top mounts before I bought the shocks but it turned out the shocks were completely dead. With the new shocks I bought I go top mounts with them too so I’ve got 2 sets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Really low front suspension.

A3 8L 1.8T Quattro Sport. Front shocks were dead so I bought new ones for front and rear. 20mm lowering. Fitted them but the car is sitting FAR too low. Also fitted new front springs that were standard size so I’m discarding them as the culprit for now. When I put the new shocks on the front I...

    Urgent ARB question

Can I take both of my drop links off and still drive ok? My only worry is that the ARB itself will rotate and hit the wishbone or driveshaft. Is it held in place by anything else? I know there are knuckles to stop it moving left to right but I mean rotating round like the drop link does under...

Front end low after shocks replaced

Yeah I found that out the hard way with the front shocks. Ordered a set and they didn’t have the hole for the drop link to fit into. That’s why it took me so long to find shocks that fit my car. Just a Quattro thing. Same with brake pipes too, had to look for ones from a TT because A3 ones...

Front end low after shocks replaced

I’m just wanting to know if the metal cap should be sitting flat in the top mount. Pretty sure the springs I bought were just standard for A3. Not sure if there is any difference is size between the FWD and the Quattro. Mine is an A3 1.8 TQS. I didn’t want lower shocks but they were the only...

Front end low after shocks replaced

Yeah I replaced them a few weeks ago, wish I hadn’t as I got a set free with the shocks I bought! Also forgot to mention, since I have 2cm shorter struts now, will I need shorter drop links? Putting the drop links back in was quite tough, had to use a breaker bar to force the ARB down quite a...

Front end low after shocks replaced

I’ve just replaced my shocks with new 2cm lower ones. The car is sitting too low though. Should the top cap be sitting nicely inside the rubber top mount so that there is no visible gap? I didn’t think to check when I did the job. My theory is that I can just remove the top cap, loosen the one...

    Sport sunpension.

Ordered new shocks for my A3 8L 1.8t quattro sport. They arrived, went to put them on which took forever because I spent hours messing about with the pinch bolt and in the end I took a grinder to it. Put new shock into position and found it didn't have a hole for the drop link to fit into...

    help needed identifying part/part number.

Engine dropped while driving on Friday. Bolts didn't get threaded, the hole did. I need to know the name or part number for the pet the bolts go into asap so I can get a new one. Need the car running for work and picking up my kids. It's the part that I have put red x's on in the picture...

    What have you done today?

What happened here? Having a look at the mount tomorrow, going to just make sure it is threaded so I can get another asap. Don't have a car to get to work. My pic was taken from an old clio...about as far from a bomb proof Bmw as possible lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    What have you done today?

Thanks, me too! Bolts threaded I think. Engine has dropped because mount has come apart, not had a proper look yet but I can see the mount and there is ground metal on top of the screw holes. Hit a bump a mile before and I'm guessing it just ripped it clean out. Got it taken home on the truck...

    Error codes.

Thanks for the reply. Could maf just be the sensor? Not decatted but could it be triggered by the thermostat or could it just be the o2 sensor? Will order new thermostat tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Error codes.

Forgot to add that after clearing the codes the cat code comes back on anywhere after about 30miles of driving. Last time after clearing it didn't come on for about 200 miles Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Error codes.

AUDI A3 1.8T QUATTRO SPORT Thermostat or cat? 3 attached images showing codes. The only lights in the car are the abs and traction control. They are in because the mechanic changing clutch ripped off an abs sensor by accident catching it on his boiler suit. The CEL has been on for a few months...
