Hi Squeeker,
I'm in the same position, been on a few test drives and a tiptronic S5 is the one for me! Always had manuals but it didn't feel as nice to me. Go and have a look. S5's should be a higher spec.
Good luck!
I would check the link into the car under the steering wheel - sounds like you have have a break in the circuit - cables were orange for me.
Do you have vagcom to check for faults?
Hi Paul
Have you used a vehicle specific wiring harness?
I fitted one to mine - it came with its own ecu, just interrupted 2 canbus wires under the steering wheel and away it went. I did have an issue with lights initially but I'd coded the car as if it had an Audi towbar - this wasn't...
Can this be summarised up by saying that if you have a highline module and are prepared to have the lights come on even if its not dark - then ground pin t32b and encode and adapt j519 address 09 for the function.
Cheers
Chris
Hi Scott, you will know of him - Simon Roe. We achieved fantastic results.
I have an Impreza in the garage too, not that it runs! I bought a rolling shell and have been reassembling for the last year.
Chris
Wishfull thinking on my part!
I too had an Impreza, it was live mapped with me driving to ensure I got the exact map I wanted. Fast forward to my first A4 2.5 TDi and I bought a map - was massivly dissapointed! It was tweeked twice by the supplier and we nearly cracked it then the car was...
This is interesting reading, I don't think I've seen a stage 1 map offer over 240bhp never mind 280! Are you suggesting any supporting mods?
I have a special edition tfsi so 220bhp standard - I often feel a little more would be nice and have considered a Revo trial but not followed it up -...
Guys, Is there definitive antenna information?
I have a 2006 (May) B7 A4 Avant with a Symphony 2 (6 cd + cassette player!) and terrible reception!
I stuck an old concert single din in the dash to test assuming to diagnose antenna amp or wiring but the signal was outstanding.
Question is, if I...
I've just noticed after looking at your examples then pistonheads, the cab never got the b7 styling line in the top of the doors/wings. The side profile is that of the b6.
Interesting find on the sline bumpers.

I do need to point out that Weekenny is 100% correct, the R8 is indeed not a 2L 4 cylinder turbo for the hard of thinking ! ;)
That said, still don't worry about the oil consumption.
If you do get the valve stem seals changed and it stops then I'm sure many people on here would love to hear...
I would worry if it was the other way around, ie 90% not using oil and a handful drinking it!
Think it's an Audi "feature" a friend of a friend has an R8, that's exactly the same.
Same here, 50,000 miles now and it seems to be getting better. Can use upto 4 litres between services.
I have the blackest exhauest tips in the carpark at work!
I plan to change the pcv thing just incase.
Best keep plenty spare.
You could try shark performance in Mansfield. Good reputation. they offer a custom remap I believe, not sure how it's done but worth a visit / phone call.
Chris
As I understand it there is a problem with an oil seal on the injector loom. Oil gets in and the system shuts down to prevent damage. A new loom and injector(s) is required.
A friend of mine had 1 go, it was swapped FOC, car lasted 4 weeks before a second one failed, think Audi did the...
You could try a custom exhaust company. Exhausts uk or there was a long life manufacturer power flow I think it was called ( franchise) and just get one fabricated.
Not sure about the fwd vs 4wd. Thought they were only different at the rear.
