These are the very brakes i was talking about. Thanks adbus. Anyone with past experience of them? I know a few folk on here are not big fans of the Red stuff pads but it does seem like a good deal if the discs are decent enough. I'd appreciate any info on them - good or bad. Iain

Evening folks. Pretty much as the title - after a quick search on ebay I found a full set of brakes from CRN products (sorry not able to cut and paste the link). Has anyone any experience good or bad of the these brakes. They do seem cheap at £279 plus 14 quid postage! Thanks Iain

Castrol long life III. That is what they will sell you in the Audi parts dept. Also, can be found at Halfords though it's no cheaper there. Still about 14 quid a litre!!

Just found a similar prob in my 02 S3. Windows steamed up this morning for the first time, they are normally totally clear. Just seems strange that it changed in one day. I hope it's not the compressor, though it does sound scarily like that. Will check the carpets for damp later.

It is obvioulsy badly designed if all these Audi ariels are packing in after just 5/6 years! Does the Audi replacment pack include the "Whippy bit"? The whole ariel including the base and the seal is cracking on mine so i am as well to replace the lot at once. Also, i thought the S3 ariel...

Cool. Looks good, def goes good, shame about the brakes!!!! I had one about 9 years ago. I reckon it was probably quicker in 4th than my S3 in 6th! As someone above said though, build quality isn't up to much but still great value for money. Cool.

it reads 33ish from mixed driving though i find it hard to believe. one day i might bother to actually work it out myself. as someone said above, i think the mpg increases with higher octane.

Sounds like i'll be going the star direction then. My only issue is that the S3 has now done 58k and i'm slightly worried the clutch will give up fairly soon and a remap will only speed this up. Not sure if i'm worrying unnecessarily or if i'm going to end up with a bill for a new clutch one...

Are the power increases you get with a star remap typical of a 'true' figure? I know from breifly looking at other sites they reckon they can acheive larger power gains. Though i know they will be prone to bid up the claims.

I've been looking at remaps for a while now and i am due to move back to Edinburgh at the end of the month. Are the star remaps any good or are there any other companies you would suggest in the ed area?
