Can't comment on petrol, but on my 2.0TDI it certainly isn't returning lower MPG with DTUK fitted. It might just be the engine naturally loosening up, but my economy is actually better since I had the box. (calculated tank to tank, not from trip computer)

Yes, this is how my 65 plate TDI tells me that stop/start is available. A white crossed through A is shown if stop/start in not available (due to one or more parameters not being met).

Hmm, good point! Maybe the VCP et al show all channels regardless of whether they are supported by the module? Does the adaption show up in VCDS for cars that already have Auto Hold as standard?

Did you activate the adaption and set the status to "always on"? There are two different adaptions that I saw for this... Which security code worked for you?
