Agu, am I right in thinking it has no n249 valve?

I didn't weld mine in the end it was beyond repair and I realize they are designed like that for a reason so just bought and fitted a new one. I also changed my brake switch as this was starting to play up.

Mine snapped yesterday, at a roundabout in the middle of town! Heard it crack once and then it snapped next time I tried to change gear....luckily I was less than a mile from my destination so I limped it home. It seems the little plate has snapped off and I'll just get it welded up and I'm back...

Update so far...Windows tinted,exhaust system on, forge dv fitted,k & n panel filter,brakes,de-badged front

The crankshaft sensor replacement stopped it cutting out and the new maf stopped its rough idle. I also discovered my standard dv was broke but I have a forge 008 that I just fitted easily. It actually feels like it has full power now and hasn't cut out on me (touch wood)

Result!The car is fixed and running better than ever! Thank God that episode is over.....

Crank shaft sensor replacement and all the spark plugs and a new oem maf going on......hopefully that's the end of i!!

Throttle body cleaned, turbo has also been off and cleaned and it's had no codes shown up on vagcom. Idles perfect now but it still cuts out.....engine speed sensor is next to be changed if it's not that then I'm going to burn the car.....(not really but you understand my frustratio)

Quick update,no codes showed up when it was scanned,throttle body has come off and is getting a thorough cleaning as it looked filthy. Narrowing it down now....

Can't scan as I've no vcds or lead! It's going for a scan on Monday. I've tried unplugging the maf after I thought I had fixed it and it still cut out

Well after spending 8 hours trying to find the fault,I'm still no further forward. Help me please?!?!?!

Spoke too soon, it just cut out again on me after 5 minutes

I found the proble!! Vacuum line from dv to egr was split badly,replaced with silicone tubing and it's solved my problem!!

It cuts out while driving or sat still and it happens when it's cold and hot.
