Looks like a decent buy this. I would have had this a couple of weeks ago if it were available. I ended up buying a 535d touring instead
I have sent link to a couple of friends who are currently looking for a new car.
GLWS
I used this code the other day when I bought it for my R and it worked.
My usual gap provider no longer provides for performance vehicles surprisingly (gapinsurance.co.uk)
yes I totally get what you’re saying and been discussed a few times in the R forum. For me I had to change as my lease was up. I was more than happy with my 7.5R but it was going so needed a replacement. In saying that for me the 7/7.5 is starting to look a little dated as it’s been around for a...
yep I went manual mK7 gti (2 years) to manual S3 8v (18 months) to mK7 dsg GTI (6 months tops) to 3 very enjoyable years in a mK7.5 R.
The wife, who is a petrol head also got tired in the gti as she had it another 2.5 years so now has an A35 as she prefers the added grip.
Gti on a nice dry...
If the clubsport was available in a manual it would have been a tough choice between that and the R. But the R edges it for me. The dsg box works fantastically with the 4wd system. However I owned a mK7 gti in both manual and DSG.
Both had tuning boxes so putting out decent power, granted not...
some very good discounts knocking about on the R so you stand a good chance.
Watch a few videos of the new clubsport. Prefer the seat design over the R and I think it sounds brilliant. Hope the R sounds as good.... doubt it though.
I had this exact problem with my lease.
paint, wheels and winter took me over by about £150 or so. The cost of extra tax is passed on me.... so I need to put and extra £600 deposit on about £15 a month in.... or have a cold bum for about 3 mins a trip. I will have warm hands as the steering...
As I suspected, the S3 deal I spotted was wrong. Seemed cheap. Checked this morning at it was £70 a month more. Golf R it is, I have a mk 7.5R now so happy to trust the reviews and order it without a test drive
Although I have just found a lease deal on a new S3 which is slightly cheaper that the new Golf R.
I have no idea which one I prefer.... and I need to decide ASAP!
Well after much debate and coming extremely close to buying a second hand motor I took the plunge and ordered the new golf R on a lease.
I got it a little cheaper than that going direct to VW.
If I had known what I had know now I would probably have leased the new S3 when there were a couple...
The golf was popular in the MK7 guise, but didn’t have much in way of competitors.
Now there a quite a few 300ish bhp 4wd hot hatches.
DTD the deal are already giving 11% discount I think but still too expensive for a Golf.
