So the car has started every time since the wire was redone had to cut a bit of the battery tray away..
.. bad bad bad design flaw by audi just need to permanently connect it and tape it all up again sooo if anyone has any random non start or electrical problems start at the fuse box wiring...
Found this going to fuse box in the engine bay car isn't cranking so hopefully this is what's stopping it the wire was rubbed on the battery tray no idea what the wires for
OK all codes now clear changed the ignition switch k15 relay new battery starter motor works cleaned all the earth cable point I can see still no cranking and no error codes on the vcds any ideas what to try now to get me car to crank?
Under the steering wheel what are the relays ? are there any for the ignition? 2007 audi s3 8p1 I’m having an issues with intermittent no crank I’ve changed battery new starter switch and starter motor and the r1 relay in engine bay seems to be working.
had my car off the road for a 1.5 year due to finances covid and all that crap got the car moted and taxed and i just need it to work and now it randomly doesnt crank new battery installed new starter motor and still does the not cranking randomly (cannot trust it to use ) so scanned the car...
My grills been done for a year no issues so far hopefully doing my full car soon just having an issue with the pearl blue going hazy did a test spray on my bonnet at the moment it's not looking great :(
Put all back together (just need to seal the box again ) took it down the road to reset everything as disconnected the battery and it seems to be working once it's resealed I'll give it a proper test so glad it's not broke :)
opened up my haldex to a beach worth of sand and it looks to have corroded a resistor ive cleaned it up the best i can with contact cleaner and will probably connect it back up tomorrow and see if im lucky and the resistor isnt dead and i got away with out sending it somewhere for the resistor...
Just another quick question how to you get the wire clips off the controller do I just put a screwdriver in the slot push down on it and pull the clips ? Sorry if it sounds a stupid question just don't want to damage anything
God news not been able to do mine yet waiting for contact cleaner to come and now the weather has stopped me from doing it glad you fixed it hopefully won't cost you any more money
