Thanks.
A guy from Celtic Tuning came around. He says my ODB is locked :<
Also said he doubts my car has an EGR. I am not sure now about that. Makes sense as I google EGR and I find only Diesel cars, but I know it is also on Petrol engines but not all.
So my Main Question is still on the PCV...
Hi,
I have a 2009 S3 E113 Petrol engine.
I have done a PCV and DV update replacement for a map I am getting as suggested.
Reason for this is they go easily if you have earlier revisions of this and not expensive.
In Pounds it was maybe 120. R2000
I am going for the Celtic Tuning Map as it is...
OK, bought the crank sensor. also know as the engine speed sensor.
Also getting the VCDS package with dongle and software.
hopefully going to sort this out.
Where is this sensor located?
BMJ - Mine is 05. They have so many parts they want to change out, but they don't know what it is for sure.
They offered to do the head and replace the cam adjusters first(R17000) - but still without trying new sensors first.
Also if it is not it, then I must still pay and they do the next step...
Hi,
I know you are thinking it is the chain.
I am getting lower limit not reached.
Audi are guessing and want to charge R44000 to fix it. Equivalent is 2200 Pounds.
They have not tested the sensors and I want to test this myself with VCDS.
What cable and software do I need to change these...
Hi,
I need VCDS as I am Currently trying to sort out a fault myself and need this to clear faults.
I have an Audi A3 3.2L Quattro 2006
What cable do I need and software. I see multiple software and multiple cables and really not sure on what specifically I should be using? Can someone send me...
Just did mine now. I must say the DSG and ECU software with REVO .
However, I found my key remote no longer can make the windows go up and down, strangely.
Also, taking off the cats and the first set of mufflers helps with flow and performance.
Induction is needed also. I would suggest a Cold...
Well, yes I did. And it is because everyone is unaware(of the real names) and so made up names to compensate. Hence, I wanted to share what it is really called.
So if I say 8PA you will say 8P2. on other sites u will say 2009> and they will say, o ok, u mean 8PA.
Same issue happened to me.
Went to get Revo software and they checked engine faults and could not get rid of the timing fault. Kept coming back.
They check this with VAG-COM software.
So they put the DSG and ECU software on and turned down the timing to 1 for now to not cause issues.
However he...
Well, I know that the first 2 everyone is fighting about is actually called 8P1 and 8PA look it up, its true.
I think the newer is called 8PB.
How can you not know this? Has nobody see wiki or googled it?
