I was just going to go with the tuning box for the convenience of taking it off for servicing or any time it had to go into Audi. And from what I've read it seems pretty easy to install/remove yourself.

Dealer just got back to me and said it was to late to change. The company they use cost £299 plus vat to tint the Windows which seems pretty expensive to me but they'll keep it to £290 as that what the factory option would've cost.

I've emailed the dealer to see what they can do. I don't mind if there's a delay as if prefer to wait to have them fitted by the factory than have them fitted after delivery by an outside company. Like I said it's not being put into production until February so hopefully won't be too much of a...

So from what I can make out I think I'd prefer to go the tuning box way then. I've seen that the dtuk product seems popular. Is it easy to fit yourself or will it need to be taken to a garage to have it installed and what is the total price of it? Any suggested alternatives?

Ok. I didn't realise that the box could be detected too if removed ☹️ so thought it was the safer option.

I've heard good things about APR but worried about it flagging the td1 code that'll void my warranty :-(
