Well I haven't been on for quite sometime due to real life stuff. But I did this a about a month ago.....
Well worth it but quite a hard task!
Not the best pic due to this aweful sunshine we are having lately....
Yours will hold itself in place but the screws make it more secure.
I can't find my order for the screws but M4 x 20mm Flanged button head bolts rings a bell with me.
Its a CT23AU06 from Connects2 CLICKY.....but you need to order a couple of bolts to hold it in place as they don't come with the kit. I'll try and root out the thread and length you need.
Also the clips on the side need to be cut on mine as it comes to light that there are two types of housings...
Fingers crossed for you @Bulbul68
The part in between the screen and the new fascia Rob....if I have time later today I'll take a picture of mine. Bearing in mind I couldn't find my bezel as I didn't need it when I fitted it into the Mrs' old car as I fitted it into a custom fascia I made...
Just one of those things I think you may have to live with.....mines an RNSe Mkll as I upgraded it from the original Mkl and it was just the same.
I was meant to look into whether you could change the settings in VCDS but never got around to it as I got my old stereo back off the Mrs.
It...
@Bulbul68 after a bit of digging it looks like the RNSe semi powers up when you unlock the car so it boots up faster.
I eventually got my Kenwood back off the Mrs when she got a new car.....never had the fault since and it's been over 6 months now and I've had the doors open with the puddle...
Why don’t you just spray the plate holder and sensors black. Just key them first with some fine grade paper and spray them [emoji4]
And whatever you do don’t use acetone on the sensors as they end up melting

I think you’ll find its about the same cost for some FWD kits also. My clutch alone is twice the price of the 140 FWD and on further looking into it it’s basically the same clutch as on the Quattro.
I still can’t see what the differences are though apart the parts involved to handle the extra...
The differences.....
They are basically the exact same housing, internals and everything apart from the driveshaft coming out of the rear.

Can you elaborate on what exactly makes them a tad more expensive as they are basically the same gearbox apart from a rear driveshaft output that isn’t going to add anything but a few quid at most?

I don’t think you do.....it’s just a case of fitting them along with the relevant looms to get the high beam working and recoding with VCDS.
