sadly not, I had a few more looks around and still found nothing. I was going to take it to an auto electrician but ended up selling it to go for an S3 a couple months after, Thankfully the puddle lights work properly in this car  Looking back on it my best guess would be a break in...
Sweet I was messaging Keegan on facebook about convoying up there as he's picking someone up in Swindon but i'll be leaving early to help set up the stand. I'll have to keep my eye out for everyone, I'll be on the S3 UK Owners Group stand
Just went out to look at mine and as expected it says gentex on it, i reckon pull it apart and see if there are any gentex P/Ns on the panel. Must be plenty of spares out there if they are on everything
I wired in an A4 auto dimming compass rear view a while back, a whole lotta googling for a pinout with different information and then testing it myself i managed to figure out all the pins and get it all working.
Pin 1 Switch live
Pin 2 Ground
Pin 3 Right/Left mirror auto dimming
Pin 4 Reverse...
cheers, wasn't the easiest to make out because of the wear but found the plug 443 906 231, I think I might order a couple plugs from TPS and then just be on the lookout for some of those auto dimming side mirrors. to help with looking for those mirrors Audi A6/A6Q/RS6 C5 ally mirrors are the...
had a look at some part numbers and looks like facelift auto dimming glass is 8D0 857 535 AK (Left) 8D0 857 536 BD (Right) could be wrong though, after just wiring my auto dimming rear view i noticed that 2 pins off that went to either side for the auto dimming. I thought these never came with...
I did but just had a number of problems with the TYC housings, broken clip, broken tabs on the rear hatch, had some dirty water seeping in from one of the breathers and had some lacquer peel on the lenses so have been having all the luck with them :seenoevil: Now we have some DEPO housings and...
Cheers man, i was determined to get a red one when i was looking for an S3, When i got it it was a heap but slowly kept doing bit here and there to get it to where i want it. Just missing my headlights and i'll be pretty happy with the looks i reckon
Thought i'd post up here if anyone is interested in retro fitting an auto dimming rear view. If you already have auto dimming mirrors and want to get a compass mirror then it should be plug and play
So wasn't that interested in swapping out to just an auto dimming but after seeing some info...
i made a thread on what i did to trim an A4 fascia to fit an aftermarket double din
https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/double-din-fascia-install.407121/
cheers, didn't seems to be a lot out there for getting a fascia to fit and thought i would post up what i did. Tbh could of just left it at trimming the bottom but im a bit OCD and it would of killed me if i left it :tearsofjoy:
Thought i would put up a little guide on what i did to get a fascia to fit a double din aftermarket head unit.
edit* you will need an original S3 double din housing to start with, i got mine through someone breaking their S3. They do come up on eBay every now and then but are not the cheapest...
