That's all good and well but what if you have an issue with your RNSE which requires you to remove it from the car yourself

Right, I took a picture of my ashtray when I removed my RNSE from the car today. As you can see, the double din ashtray is flat (like Ajax said)...

Yeah, the stuff you have bought has definitely been a single din conversion. I wouldn't worry about it too much though.
