A quick google brings back they're for a A4 B9.

If it's at the top of the windscreen then i believe it refers to the 'sunscreen' section that has tinted gradient.
Mine looked like that on my old car. Only the inner lights were affected.
On the rear of the connector there is a clip that pushes in to release the connector. You can see it in this picture where the orange wire enters...

The cause of the oil leak was the killer. The oil filter bracket is broken and was quoted 7-9 hours labour to replace:(

The OEM light clusters have the reflectors built in. No reflectors on the bumper on the facelift.
